Here he definitely tried, Quintel just invested a little of his life and everyone around him, a lot of cool things from the past and present, and gave it life. It turned out to be a Regular Show, a cartoon uniting generations. And I'm glad that such people just exist and they continue to create something simple but legendary, it really inspires, and J. G. Quintel is just a cool man in himself.

Regular Show is up there for me with one of the greatest cartoons ever. It was a such a sleeper hit. I remember seeing commercials for it and thinking "wow that looks weird and stupid", AND IT WAS EXACTLY THAT which made it hilarious. The mix of adult humor and slapstick comedy was amazingly done. And the characters were actually memorable. Good Show.
