Does it no longer convert to a stroller and back again? That was the biggest selling point of the original Taga! I could use my single seat or wooden double seat to bike to the train, turn it into a stroller and bring it right onto the train with me. I could also take the shopping basket attachment on the bike, pedal to the store, turn it into a shopping cart, shop with it, back to a bike to bring my stuff home, and bring the basket inside! It was the most multifunctional item in my garage, and you took that away?

May be the bike is a really great idea, but unfortunately you have to be very patient to find out yourself. Delivery estimates were completely unrealistic and angry customers don't care much about some ›calm down‹ communication, pushing deadlines further and further. Keep in mind, that orders from the beginning of 2017 might are expected to deliver sometimes in September! Wonder why user comments are closed on facebook, guess why…
Nice approach to family bike. As speaking about safety... Why it does not have any lights?! And I mean real lights not some battery powered, blinking toys... Maybe Sturmey Archer XL-SDD dynamo hub could work.

Please avoid this company. I purchased a 2.0 from the relaunched company (had previously gone out of business and stranded their kickstarter supporters). I've been having mechanical issues with the bike after less than 70 miles on the bike and zero response/support from the company. An interesting concept, but a bad company. Best to take your business elsewhere.
I had issues with our Taga bike and only needed new straps for the seatbelt. I couldn't get a response from the company. I sent email after email, could not get a response. When people on the street ask me about the bike, I tell them it's a neat bike, but don't buy one because you'll just end up frustrated (as I point out the straps that we ended up tying together in a knot, just so we could strap my son in) Ridiculous.
$2.5K for bike/stroller??? Wow, very unaffordable for my family: both girls very actives, 15 months old and 26 months old. They have YMCA club for family swimming and winter indoor activities. Everywhere I took for conviences for both staying comfortable ride after exhausted walks , I wishing if somethings similar to Tagabikes to came out very "affordable" for many of us parents. Evidently $2.5K bike just not for middle or low income families.
What's the cost of a bike, a few hundred? Then add the rear carriage for two kids... I prefer the convenience of having it all in one, personally. Your mileage may vary.

Why did you get rid of the stroller convertability? That was THE feature that made it different than just getting a trailer for your bike
