Angemon was so epic, seeing Patamon FINALLY evolve, save the day, and then disappear into an egg. I think he deserves his place at Number 1, as it was the very first iconic digivolution. But as a little girl, who's favourite Digimon was Gatomon from the first moment she appeared on screen... watching her transform into a FEMALE VERSION of what I already considered the most epic Digimon, without any inkling it was going to happen?! Little me was just mind blown.

Magnaangemon had that impact on me. I get tears every time I watch TK try to climb that rope while he watches his friends fall to Piedmon. Not saying the earlier sacrifice wasn't emotional. Just that the second was even more so for me. :-)

I think i preferred digimon to pokemon, purely because digimon actually talk and make sense rather than just saying their name or grunting 😂 made it hurt more when a sad scene happened, made the connection alot more deep in my opinion
Digimon was more dramatic, had higher stakes and it wasn´t always the same bs like Team Rocket or something like that.
Characters also grew up and changed.
Pokemon gets boring after a while, when you realise that its pretty much the same sort of thing going on week after week that and combined with the fact it hasn't reached a actual end, besides, I think the champon level Digimon can completely own most of the Pokemon in a fight with a few expection, such as Mewtwo but I think they would get pounded by the Uiltimate level Digimon. Besides, Digimon has better villians whose motive maybe world domination but they put to shame anything Pokemon has, their bad and they know their evil and simply do not care.
I still find Pokemon enjoyable the games are still good and the current anime is decent not amazing. And for Pokemon fighting Digimon i think there are some Pokemon that could put up a match like Arceus, Mew, Mewtwo, Alakazam, Ditto, Nihiligo.

Dude i first watched digimon when i was 8 but i didn't really understand much other than how deep and precious is their friendship. Idk why but i felt like rewatching it two years ago when i was 16 and oh lord, i understand everything much clearer now, i cried at each and every sad moments of 01 and Tri and became very much hooked to digimon compared to when i was 8. Im 18 now and looking forward to the new movie! And yeah, imho Angemon is definitely the best. All his transformations are so cool and i just feel a strong connection to him. Well i do love angel based digimons so.

Although S1 evolutions hold a place in my heart, Sakuyamon’s evolution is still the most aesthetically pleasing for me. Add to that is the music playing when the whole sequence is happening. It’s just true beauty.
I agree 100%. Tamers is my favorite season by far, and Sakuyamon is my favorite biomerge from that season.

Although I haven't watched anything past season 4, I feel like Myotismon was the most iconic villain, simply because he reached new levels by becoming a villain that spanned an entire season with multiple diabolical schemes which went beyond anything from the past season's villains.
Agreed. Even though I loved S3, and even S4 because what kid fan didn’t fantasize about being able to turn into a digimon, the franchise peaked with S2 and Myotismon is the most iconic villain of the franchise.

For me it’s always going to be Tai realising his symbol of bravery, hence that brave heart song evolving greymon into metalgreymon. Hands down showing true leadership, sacrifice, growth and leadership in one scene.

None other scene is worth than ANGEMON Evolution. Its so heartfull warming. I cry even the scene played hundred times. Plus the angemon last said before he disappear is so tearful!! Th storyline here was excellent we’ve been waiting the most admired character but its not last and when back to egg shape. 😭😭😭

It was good but by that time we as kids already know that the only way they can beat him is having Angemon digivolve again. Angemon’s first evolution is more memorable because throughout the whole season Pattamon haven’t digivolve yet, and we didn’t know what he would become. When he finally digivolve, we got a humanoid angel fighting his devil counterpart.
The original Paildramon DNA digivolution was my personal favorite. Ken's story arc in 02 was amazing, and Paildramon was basically the climax of it. Plus it's just an awesome looking Digimon, and Veemon is all my all-time favorite.
Rob Kimbell Paildramon's Japanese introduction is, to this very day, one of my favorites. Especially since the machine gun volley was timed with the rapid drum beats perfectly.

My favourite is still Renamon's mega evolution sequence. The animating looks stunning. Plus I just loved all of Renamon's design, so I may be biased.
To this day, Omnimon's first appearance still gives me goosebumps.
My personal favorite's definitely Impmon to Beelzemon when he reconciled with his trainers and went off to fight the D-Reaper with the others. His evololution was so great, it turned a toy gun he was holding into a powerful arm cannon, while also sprouting a cool pair of black wings.

For me, the 1st digivolution of Herakle/HerculesKabuterimon should included into the list! He saw all of his comrades gone berserks, told them to snap them out because they made the children sad, hug them all then vanished.. and rebooted.. Memorable and definitely sad.. Man.... The digievolution to Magnangemon is the one that gave me the most chills. That moment of desperation, then the Matt's harmonica theme being played, Takeru's hope feeling coming out and then the digievolution happens with the Concierto de Aranjuez on a trumpet being played. It doesn't get better than that

Think back to the time when the first Digimon movie came out. Remember that back then, DNA Digivolving wasn't a thing yet, nobody ever even considered it. Now imagine being a kid, sitting in a theater watching this movie, and the two most awesome Digimon suddenly fuse together into a badass knight with a giant sword on one arm, and a giant cannon on the other, while an orchestral version of the theme song swells in the background. There is a reason why I consider Omnimon to be one of the most unforgettable moments from my childhood. It's a shame the third part of that movie was so weak, it can't hold a candle to _Our War Game._
I miss the days when Angemon telling Takeru he'd be back was the saddest moment of the series......but no they had to literally rip our hearts out in Last Evolution.

+eternasapphiremon81 Uhh...what are you on about? Angemon is a completely separate line from Angewomon. Angemon is from the Patamon -> Angemon -> MagnaAngemon -> Seraphimon line, whereas Angewomon is in the Gatomon -> Angewomon -> Ophanimon/Magnadramon line.

I will say I was more into season 2 and tamers. But when omnimon first came out…CHILLS! Wargreymon was awesome to see..but gallantmon and onnimon was by far my favorite of them all.

Shoutmon to OmegaShoutmon was a great one. A hopeless battle that was overcome with the first digivolution in season 6 and possible thanks to the blessing of a royal knight. Taiki didn't even know digivolving existed lol
Gatomon's digivolution is even more emotional, when you know of how Myotismon mistreated her, and how she was waiting all this time to get a chance to defeat him. Also, the original Japanese version is so much better. The 4kids dub took out pretty much everything that made it emotional, like Hikari's scream, and Wizarmon's death, and unlike the dub, the music for the whole scene is serious.
4Kids never dubbed Digimon, it was Saban. Also, I don't personally feel the English dub handled that scene particularly badly, Hikari's scream always seemed a little melodramatic to me honestly so I don't really miss it, plus even though they cut the shot where Wizardmon's head falls back at least they didn't try and censor or gloss over the fact that he died.
@@Zomdra I know, but the party music digivolution theme just did not fit in that moment. I guess in a way it does, because Myotismon's first form is defeated, but is not the mood the sub was going for. It's supposed to be more an emotional moment.
@@NeonPegasus1979 I mean, the original music is just the normal evolution theme too, it's not like they specifically chose music to compliment the moment or anything (like with HolyAngemon's debut in Japanese). If you like Brave Heart more than the dub theme that's fine but they're really both pretty all-purpose hype evolution themes. Brave Heart is very "generic anime insert song" of course, so it broadly fits with any mood, the dub theme being more unique and electronic throws people off I suppose.
