- Playing with different types of lines is part of the fun in the inking process. Imagining the "feel" of an object's surface (as you ink) can be a great aid in recreating the desired texture. Subtleties such as how things respond/behave (in this case chip/break) can make a difference. This is where inking can be a bit addictive.
The cameraman works for cheap.
Hope you enjoyed the close up video of my knuckles. (={

mh. I'll try that, thanks.
Thank you for the video. I love watching you work, especially clean up and just inking imgeneral
Thank you for stopping by.
I have such a hard time getting rid of an “empty” pen. I often refill mine with different ink and just keep using them. Thanks again for sharing your process. Loving all the videos.
Pens are dang expensive. I get rid of NOTHING.
I've just came across your channel and wow! Interesting to see the work of a comic inker
Welcome aboard! Hope you stay. :]]
Great info., thank you. Have been trying to get dry brush effects from nibs (with colored inks, without having an older tool). Only thing I've found so far are reed pens. Inconsistent, but much that I'm exploring.
Have fun!
Wow, cool . . . So is this kind of the tech pen equivalent of dry brush?
yup.
Thank you!
You bet!
Nice video. If you're recording from your phone, if you press and hold the screen right before or after you start recording, you can toggle off the auto focus for the remainder of the recording. If you lock the focus(turn off auto-focus), it will stay focused on the paper so the ink lines will stay sharp instead of it refocusing on whatever is closest to the phone.
Hahaha! The filming is so sad. I'll have to remember about the focus tap for next time.
@@sandrainkmonkeyhope I only learned after making a bunch of bad videos. However I like making videos on my phone. It's so simple if you're lazy like me and don't make edits, LOL.
You are amazing!! the best on busines!
Aw, thank you very much.
First!!!
...please zoom out some If you want us to see the detail. The camera is just focusing on your hands and not the art because it's way too close. You are a wonderful artist, most of the time I never finish watching your vids because of the claustrophobic nature of them. We can see what your doing better if you zoom out.
It's ok to zoom out. Really, we can see it, we will see it. please!!!! lol.
Yup, will have to work on the camerawork.
