When I first got in...people mostly wanted to know where you're from...in the feds your inmate number has the district number you were convicted in...it was weird for me bc I was convicted in the eastern district of west virginia..but Im from northern virginia so my number was confusing.

I like this guy. Joe is definately a natural-born story teller...and I don't mean that hes "lying" or "making up stories," I mean the way he recounts all his experiences is so animated, and he has a great sense of humor about what are most likely, some of the worst times of his life. I mean, even if you don't have any major problems with other inmates, and you have a relatively smooth bit (or as smoothly as anyone's time can be under penitentiary/jail circumstances), it is gonna be a bad time for anyone that has family and friends on the outside... Anyway, I wouldn't be, at all surprised if in a few years, he was on some kind of TV show or something. I truly think he has the perfect personality for it. He's a likable dude with amazing story-telling abilities.

Hey Joe, I just had the idea to start a spinoff of AfterPrisonShow about life inside mental hospitals. It could be called AfterHospitalShow or something and could be the start of a franchise. I've spent years in psychiatric hospitals and in 2016 I spent some time in jail and if I had to choose, I'd go to jail. I have soo many totally insane (pun unintended) stories from the many different hospitals I've lived in.
There were tons of loud scary people who were constantly harassing people, and one time the nurses wouldn't let this girl call her mom so she started SMASHING her forehead against the cement wall again and again as the nurses just went back to looking at papers with a bored look on their faces, but as far as just constant screaming I can only remember a guy in the cell next to mine in the psych ward of the jail.

That attempt at a coherent sentence iwas admirable. Joe is legit in my book. He's overcome a lot and is spreading a positive message. He deserves a relaxing day at the beach while feasting on some good eats.

I've also heard PC referred to as "Punk City" and "rumors" that the guards would sometimes accidentally lean on a door switch. Then 3 or five guys would take care of a child molester.

We used to call booking info in la county jail. It was easy when you could have cash and use payphone.
Plus it was answered by female inmates who would run a list of names for you.

I really don't mind going 2 the hole.. or after enough fights and the hole they might single sell u. Sometimes a celly or a rowdy tank can get on ur nerves and annoy u. Other times having ppl. Around u can really help u through ur time. But after being there a while I get short fused n need 2 just be left the fuck alone.. so after almost 15 years of time I found a way 2 get it together n stay out.
Oh n I never pc'd up or tried 2 avoid anything. All my time served was drugs and weapons. Along with violations.

I just wanted to say that this channel is really inspiring. Two years ago when I was 19 I got arrested for selling large quantities of weed and 3 additional felony charges on top of that. I was facing 5-15 years in prison and it was definitely a wake up call. A year after that I finally went to court with a plea deal of 5 years sis probation, a week in county, and hair follicle tests every 3 months. Lately I’ve been doubting if all of this is even worth it because it feels like I’m constantly dealing with BS being on probation. But after recently finding your channel it has changed my whole mindset and made me think of this in a positive perspective. I️ am now two years sober from all the drug tests and see the court fines as a small price to pay instead of doing time. You’re channel is awesome, funny, genuine, and inspiring and it makes me happy knowing that you were able to change your life around. Keep up the good work man you really do make an impact.
