Great to hear but please be mindful that this was a guide for an old patch 3.18, things probably have changed since then - I'm currently not playing PoE so can't confirm. If something doesn't match up or look right, this is probably why!

sadly my ADHD got thr better of me and again died doing the labyrinth same point one away from completion and yeah have had to step away may try again later to stressful and I tend to get confused and frustrated.
I'm currently level 45 and just starting act four.
So probably leave the labyrinth for much later, my shield is still pants though. Anyways thanks again

Hey man just wanted to say [I started in standard league] thanks for this!
Although I've played poe a little here and there and understand some of the basic systems I've never levelled that far with my minion builds because the damage really fell off and I was super squishy. Using this as a base I understand where I went wrong in earlier builds.
Currently racing through act 3 and I can feel my power scaling instead of deflating.
Hey mate glad to hear this was somewhat helpful, just please keep in mind that it's an old guide and the game and balance/talents/etc are always changing. If you feel that something is off, you might need to look for a more recent guide and cross-check with what they are covering there.

Neffex is amazing! The only issue with this build is that it's a bit old by now, I haven't updated it for the latest expansion and balance changes
@@GyrotexGaming oh don't worry, I wasn't looking for a mathematically correct build anyways. I just wanted to confirm if whatever I'm doing is not completely stupid. I'm not yet dwelling deep in poebuilds or poevault just experimenting. Maybe with more experience in the game I'll eventually find out what is outdated about the build anyways :D
I just started playing again after a LONG time away. Having a blast right now at level... 14, I think. Summon raging spirit, raise zombie, and summon skeletons all have summon phantasm support and minion damage support.
I know it's still very early and this early experience likely won't reflect the late game but there's just something about running around with this massive army is just bonkers fun. I know you said not to bother with skellies, and I agree I don't actually need them. But it's fun! ^_^
Glad to hear you're enjoying the game and POE is great overall, especially if you haven't played in a while... Problem with POE begins when you've played a long time and get tired of too many options and complexities if you really want to reach high content levels. Accessibility of the game sucks on a general level.

thanks for your guide, but i want to ask you about the minion speed support gem, where you put the gem? at the tabula rasa or where?
Well if you think that speed is what they need, you'll put the gem where your main sped-up minion is, e.g. zombies. So ultimately it's up to you and the variation of the build you're running. If you're seriously into summoners, search youtube for Kay's summoner guides - she's the boss.

just started playing the game fresh had no experience with it before.
1 question you talk about different support gems but I don't got items with more then 3 sockets.
so for my zombies I cant put everting in it speed gem, dmg gem and swipe gem, phantasm.
what are your recommendations which gems to replace and to run. (until I am assuming you get 4-5-6 socket items)
I am running at the moment
on my raging spirits - dmg and phantasm
zombies - speed and phantasm
(love the more summons 10 phantasm this way)
act 2 at the moment and cant find any items with more then 3 sockets, or maybe it is a mechanic I am missing.
Hello mate, I assume you've levelled a little higher and by now can see that 4 socket and 5 socket items are not that rare once you're close to the end of the campaign. 6 sockets, especially linked ones are indeed rather rare and you'd do yourself a massive favor if you watched my "how to buy stuff" guide (video on the channel) that will introduce you to the community market, where for 5-10 chaos orbs you can secure a nice linked 6 socket piece that'll do the trick for you. Hope it helps!

I just started playing POE and this guide has been some help to me. Just a couple of things that I am little confused on.
1. Towards end I see lots of fire coming from you and not sure how you are doing that
2. This guide seems to work well because of that armor set you have and all the connections. Wondering if you could give some tips if you do not have that gear
Hey, glad to hear you're enjoying the guide. Problem is - it's VERY old 🤣 Take a look at one of the more recent guides, just take a look at my channel and literally the last 2-3 videos were about summoner builds with updated POBs and they should have all the answers you need. Old guides are out of sync with what you're seeing in the game, as the developers change things from League to league, patch to patch.
I know this is outdated, but I am using it as a first time player, and enjoying it a lot.
I'm so glad to hear it, but yeah its rather old, so a lot of talents etc pointed out in this video simply don't exist in the game anymore (check my more recent videos!)

Hey thank you! At the beginning you only have Zombies, Skeletons and Spectres, unless you're using Summon Raging Spirit spell. Later you also get golems to run around. Sometimes I also throw in Skitterbots to add chilling and shocking effects, but can't honestly remember what exactly I did in this build
Those are phantoms from the summon phantom gem

@hey i just started poe from d4 and so far im loving it getting used to the different controls and settings but was wondering how do you get the item drops to have that huge name on ground? because mine are hidden alot and cant tell when there are drops
Hey, welcome to the game (you've made the right choice! 🤣), you need to either download or use one of those smart-sync installs for item filters. Check out www.filterblade.xyz/ and follow their instructions. It's very hard to play PoE without a loot filter.

Great guide ! is there anyway to farm vaal skeletons very early?? or is it really impossible for a really beginner?
Best way is to buy those from a Marketplace. Otherwise you're hoping they'll drop from one of the Vaal areas, no other way

Sorry my friend, the guide is really old so I wouldn't be able to provide a proper advice at the moment... Linked robes you can either buy on the market and 5-link wouldn't be too expensive as long as you have a handful of Chaos Orbs, or you need to be lucky and get Tabula Rasa as a random legendary drop. It rather often drops from your Menagerie beast fights.

Yea it's like diablo 4 is way to simple an poe is way to complex. I don't have much time to play so diablo is great for that yet lacks any interesting content an poe is full of content I can't ever get to lol

What is the sheild spell that you have on. I'm confused on if I should get the arcane cloak or arctic armour or am I wrong all together lolol
Hey the shield effect is tempest shield spell (I think, you might need to cross-check). Now, months after this build was made I wouldn't bother with either arcane cloak or arctic armour, as those are mana dependent and would rather rely on the passives and ascendancy, plus beefing up your own heath and block chance.
I have a lot the summons skills like carion golem reaper, chaos golem ,fire golem , stone , golem , and what I think is the best is specter summon if you find a good strong enemy to control over it's easy mode they kill any boss almost almost instantly but if get hit I might die instantly to so there is that
omg mate I have great news for you - commas are not overrated and you should use them in your sentences so that people actually understand what you're trying to say
On 7:11 which 3 am i pairing up, i dont have the large socket armor but i do have have 3 socket pieces?
Sorry mate, I haven't played PoE for a while and the game would have moved on since 3.18 this video was made for. For details I'd recommend looking up one of more recent Kay's Summoner builds, she's the expert and keeps up with the game a lot more than I do
what life mastery should you choose it doesnt say on the picture?
Can't remember if I'm honest, plus things changed since 3.18... I'd go with +50 and then +15% if no life modifiers on armor first, everything else - later.
I dont understand Val map that you said. is it in the ship wreck area? I want to get the val summon that you said instead of skeleton..
Vaal Summon Skeletons and any other Vaal gems come from Vaal areas that are random entrances/portals in ANY map that you're doing - you just need to be lucky. OR you could buy a gem from Path of Exile Trade (website, Google for it).
@@GyrotexGaming Thank you so much I was so addicted I got lvl 47 in 2 days and I got vaal skeleton summon gems twice in different vaal red domains. I also got other vaal gems but dont know what to do with it..
I just know that showing the vaal domains are RNG I should explore the whole map, sometimes its not there as well. Also in the treasure inside the vaal its not sure what corrupted items I would get.

Getting back into the game after a year. I accidentally went into some dungeon on the coast that wrecked me so I put the game down seemingly forever. Nowadays I'm fairly sure I accidentally stumbled into high level area.
Yeah who knows, it could be the build that wasn't there at all (or badly put together), skills you've used, you name it - PoE is a very rich game

Can't remember, it's an ancient video. You can buy off the marketplace, craft in Necropolis graveyard, be lucky with a drop... Lots of options! 🤷♀️
Can i use this build or has the passive tree changed?
Essentials should be there, but a lot would have changed between 3.18 and now so you need to cross-check with more recent guides if something doesn't look right anymore
other than the zombie, what are the unit that you summon, the one look like ghost and doing ranged attacks, i didnt get its summon gem
You must be talking about Summon Phantasm support gem, it's very useful, and available very early in the game from Act 1

I just started the game with a few friends a few hours ago and I picked witch for the magic abilities lmao but anyways I wanted to originally go with full on necromancer but i've been looking at skills and I kinda wanna go with a mix build between lighting and frost/ice but idk if it'll be any good any suggestions on something fun and enjoyable that's not completely boring being like "oh enemies, no nvm they're gone" instantly 😭 yk? idk if i explained it good but I just need some suggestions because this looks fun but i kinda don't wanna go with full necromancy type of thing even tho it does look epic ash imo so anyone got any suggestions?

This is a leveling guide aka "build guide". Good choice of a build, but bad choice of a video as this is an old league 3.18. We're on the verge of 3.24 now - a lot of things have changed since then. Look for a more recent guide. AND if a lot of things don't make sense to you, you need a generic beginners guide to the game, not a build guide.
question : are the summons permanent? and whats the max summons ?
It depends on the summon. Zombies, Golems and Spectres are permanent (until they die, then you need to resummon). Skeletons, Raging Spirits and Phantasms are temporary. Max number depends on your talents and level of the summoning gem. E.g. you start with 3 zombies on the lowest level gem and character. Hope it helps you.

I used to put build links in the last part of the guide that brings it all together. Sometimes I did part-builds in each guide part, but if there isn't one in here, then you should look for the final part in the series

Got lucky. You don't need it, just go with whatever linked piece you find, it'll play more or less the same.

I think it comes from the loot filter mate, but I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to. Do you have the filterblade.xyz filter installed? Follow their instructions on the website! 👌
running the vitality gem makes it so zombies can't die for anyone not wanting to resummon zombies for those that don't know
Also investing in the talent that heals your summons when others die (Raging Spirits) is good for upkeep too. Vitality is OK but in only scales up to so much damage absorption.

I dont get what path you took in skill tree im new at the game
1. this is an old guide, look at the game version - it tells you
2. look for the final part of the guide, I usually include path of building with the build in it
3. google is your friend, if you don't know real basics, like what is "path of building". Just search for it. Can't explain everything in one guide.
How do you get the 6 link chest if your New to the Game?
You:
1) level for a bit and get a few chaos orbs first (they drop from stuff). By Act 10 you're still "New" but you should have 10-15 of those found, most likely.
2) watch my video about how to use PoE Marketplace
3) go buy a 6 linked chest piece
4) enjoy!

Really? they are available pretty much straight away when you've finished the first couple of quests. Are you playing a Witch? As different classes give different rewards.

It's literally given to you as a gem reward for completing one of the very first couple of quests. Summon Zombie.
is this viable on 3.19?
I haven't tried this in 3.19 but it should be mostly usable, other than in 3.19 you'll rely on items more to boost your minion survivability etc, rather than gems and talents as it used to be
I wanted to like this video but starting out with that chest piece kinda ruined it for me. Im a actual beginner and linking all my sockets is waaaaaaaay more difficult than you make it look. Might come back later after i have gear even close to that. Until then, my summon skeletons will have to get the job done lol
You don't need ALL those sockets to make it work mate. 3 linked ones is fine, especially for this part 1 / early game. Don't let it scare you.
"make sure that you don't pick solo self found" what?
It's an option on the screen when you create a new character. If you pick that, you won't be able to trade with other players, ever (on this character). It's an extra challenge.
why u put "beginners" in the title> who has 6 slot armor as a beginner
I explain in the video. Beginners can watch 1 video to learn how to buy stuff, and boom - there you go.

leveling guide assumes some knowledge of the game, not a bare bones 101. If this confused you, stick to Diablo.
So I have a question I want to make a necro army build but I wanna add lighting idk what kind of a build this would im 100% percent new to the game but is something like this possible?
I'd love to help you out mate but I'm back in World of Warcraft now and haven't checked back in what's the latest and greatest in PoE these days. I can't imagine my build being completely outdated yet as it was created not that long ago, but you probably are better off asking the question in comments to more active PoE players and video creators.
