I figured it's time to make a video and address this :) Whether you are starting out, or very intrigued by rope flow I hope that this video helps you figure out which rope is the best rope for you! At the end of the day, it all comes down to preference. Don't overthink!

I once considered rope flow niche drilling; but learned it is fun, scalable, accessible, and meditative!

Most definitely! It's something else, but ultimately it's what we make out of it!

6:27 That is so truth about when you overthinking, life in general. Oh I want to do this, I want to do that. I want to be great with this but at the same time, I want to be good in that. At the end, we have too much thinking and imagination of what we wanted to do, usually we don't take any action nor any effort to it. and many time we end up overwhelming and give up on everything.🙄

What's the difference between your ropes and Weck Method ropes or a $6 rope from the hardware store which is what I use when I feel like doing some flow to get ready for fan veil flow performances? Do I really need to spend $70 plus if a $6 rope has been working o.k. If there are massive differences then I would love to know. This video didn't really answer any of my questions.

I use a hardware store rope myself. I think there is no difference UNLESS you want a heavy rope, like 2lbs++. That seems to be harder to source in small lengths. I'm wondering if a weighted jump rope could work there though.

Agree with Johnny. I use old climbing ropes @ 10.5mm.

Climbing ropes/arborist ropes/hardware store ropes/ropes from a boating supply store/etc all work perfectly. 50 ft of arborist rope costs about $20-$30.

Could I also do flow rope while sitting in a wheelchair or do I bang the rope around my ears? I definitely couldn't take the thick gray rope, otherwise I would fall over with my wheelchair.

Friend, your honesty is so refreshing. I love that you care about getting people started more than obsessing over what rope to buy first.
p.s. I met you in Maui for about 10 seconds at the fitness expo. I wasn’t doing flow ropes at the time, but I’ve just started and remembered to check out your channel. I hope all is awesome in your world!
