    This is awesome thanks! I'm a Convert to Catholicism and trying to remember to pray for the holy souls this month especially.
    Just from having felt all my life like I've been abandoned in the world - almost like a living Purgatory with people seemingly indifferent to my suffering and pleas for help, even though I'm quick to respond to theirs it breaks my heart to imagine that my negligence, ignorance and indifference could be denying a soul in Purgatory the help they need to come out of suffering soonest😭
    Though I struggle financially and don't have a lot of money even for my own survival let alone for extras I can pray the Rosary for them more often. It's my favorite devotion having seen the PEACE, Joy and Hope it brings to my own life *daily* since I picked it up after my conversion.
    Will also strive to pray The Way of The Cross, which I struggle to do and have resisted as I'm anemic and physical strain is a real struggle for me.
    I'm trying to say the St. Gertrude Prayer whenever I remember. Will try to make a commitment to say it at least 10 times each day.
    Love the story about how you felt your dad prompted you to say The Way of The Cross for him! LOVE the idea of "The Communion of the Saints."❣️❣️❣️ I've felt since becoming Catholic like I have this huge, invisible *Family* and that I'm not so alone as I used to feel anymore 💖💖💖
    May the holy souls through the MERCY of GOD rest in PEACE ✝️✝️✝️🙏💙🙏🏽💙🙏🏼💙🙏🏿💙🙏🏾💙🙏🏻💙

      Your story is brief but deep and puts me in a state of reflection.
      Each and every life is full of mysteries. Most of us try to make sense of our feelings and experiences and how we make choices, and for us who believe in the divinity of Christ, in accordance with Divine Will, although the mysteries of our existence never diminishes. It has always struck me that a relationship with God need not be complicated since He comes to all of us who lack training and education. The incarnation of Jesus gave humanity the perfect expression of God as human. Love is a disposition of the Will over the Mind.
      I welcome you into the universe of Catholic thought and experience. The canonized saints give us great examples of conduct, although we can find many unsung saints living amongst us. It can help if we act as though no one but God is watching.
      Again, I say "Welcome!" We all journey together.

    Nowhere..in St Gertrude’s writings is that prayer or information found,but that doesn’t mean the prayer itself self is beneficial in nature.Saint Pius X condemned the idea that a single prayer could purge “1000” or any said amount of souls.The Stations of the Cross is highly recommended for there relief🙏God bless

      I've always looked at it that God doesn't put a number to it. I think it's a lovely prayer and it's the act of faith that releases souls. I've also pondered this on my own a lot (without reading too much about it or into it), and I believe that if souls are released, it's most likely those who were going to be released soon anyway. I don't think people should get hung up on the number. I try to be very careful about putting anything that could become superstitious in my videos, but people will come to the conclusion they want. But I do appreciate you bringing up this point, because it's important.
      For myself and my family, we said the St.Gertrude prayer every day of the month of November, hoping that it released at least a few souls, but not focusing on the words (like it has a magical effect) but the act of faith. Does it truly release 1000 souls? I don't know, but I do know that if you combine Jesus's Passion and the souls, it at least gives them great relief. As long as people have that in mind, I know it's fine to pray.

    How much is the offering for a Gregorian Mass? I never heard of Gregorian Mass being celebrated here in Taipei, Taiwan

    • @letspraytherosary4410
      @letspraytherosary4410  Před 9 měsíci +2

      It can vary. Usually around $300. They are usually found online, as parish priests can't do them because it would require them to say a Mass every day without interruption, and they're already very busy. For Gregorian Masses, you can ask others who knew the deceased to split the cost with you so that it's more affordable. That's what me and my mom are doing for a friend who recently died.

      @@letspraytherosary4410 I have more questions: is the price of this offering is a fixed amount? Is it different from the Mass Offering we have in churches where priests tell us to offer any amount we can afford. It could go from NT$100- $1000.

      @@yu-ningrose-marykuo5312it’s 10 bucks a Mass 30 in a row 300 for Gregorian, but don’t despair if I’m strapped or have 1-2-3 people on my heart I’ll have say 7 or 9 said per person 3-7 are biblical numbers 9 is a Novena, any Mass offered 1 or 1000 carries more weight then we can ever imagine for them and us it’s a work of Mercy

    They're pricey. Its like $300 or more for Gregorian Masses. Why do we get charged for that?? Ive always wondered 🤔

    • @Veronica-vh6ex
      @Veronica-vh6ex Před 9 měsíci +2

      A mass usually costs 10.00 so if 30 masses in a row are said it comes to a total of 300. But some religious will do cheaper if you can't afford it.

      @Veronica-vh6ex Thanks for the response 😊 It wasn't the math that I was stumped with lol. I was wondering why we "pay" for a person's name to be included at Mass. I never understood why the church charges for that.

    • @letspraytherosary4410
      @letspraytherosary4410  Před 9 měsíci +6

      I can't speak for Gregorian Masses, but for one single Mass to be said (or more), it is just a free will offering of what you want to give. As one person put it, you can't put a value on a Mass, so there is no price you can put on it that would equal to it. The offerings are considered a tithing, "work" on our part to make the Mass possible, and a way to support the priest and church. So it's all for good reasons.
