Munchy is on a mission. Everyone shows patience with each other's time at the nut bowl, a well-adjusted community of friendly furred neighbors. They're all cuties.
Gosh I wish you could be my neighbour, with all your little furry neighbours as well. Where I live there are no squirrels or chipmonks to feed sadly.
@@hughellis9169 any parks in your area, with small birds like chickadees, nut hatchers, etc.? If so, get some plain sunflower seeds and peanuts, put a little in your flattened hand, and hold it in the air for the little guys to see. It is also fun and makes you feel content. 🐦🙂
I love squirrels. I feed them a variety of nuts, seeds and fruit. They never go hungry. I love these videos.

I just love the addition of the chipmunks! It feels like when a tv show adds new characters a few seasons in and they fit in perfectly and reenergize the show.
And I love chipmunks in general :-) But yes I agree!
Those squirrels have better manners than some humans.
Some humans would just shove all the nuts up their nose and then blow them out at anyone unfortunate enough to be passing by at the time.
I never knew watching squirrels and chipmunks eating nuts could be so relaxing, it's almost therapeutic.

I remember the first time I saw chipmunks. My late husband & I were walking our dog on a university campus. Well, I flipped out & began screeching, "OMG, CHIPMUNKS! THEY ARE SO CUTE! OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" This was much to the good-natured amusement of several students passing by. I told them, "I'm from New Orleans! I've never seen a CHIPMUNK before! THEY ARE SO CUTE!" I was in my 40s. You can imagine my reaction the first time I saw a deer in our backyard.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

People do not realise how much character and intelligence squirrels have. I have been blessed for the past 3 years to have a wild squirrel/s visit me every day to be fed. The mother , who seems to trust me, brings her baby's into our lounge ( this is the 2nd litter ) to be fed by hand while she sits on top of my head/shoulder eating walnuts without a care in the world. I have not named her/them & apart from the odd gentle stroke on the mummy squirrel I never attempt to touch them. I just let them do their thing. Although we have had a few occasions where another squirrel has come into my home following them and all hell has broken loose as they jump and fly around chasing each other knocking and smashing anything that gets in their way to get out into the garden. We have so many vids & photos of all this and I really should post them on social media.
That’s absolutely the most adorable thing ever. I’d love for my squirrel to take food out of my hand. The chipmunks here are cheeky little devils. They throw stuff when they’re not happy. LOL

It's interesting that here in Canada, the vernacular French name for a chipmunk is "Suisse" (Swiss). The real name is "Tamia rayé". How they got their nickname is beyond me.

These are the most polite critters I think I've ever seen! Everyone waits their turn, even - unbelievably! - the blue jay, who apparently acknowledged he was in the wrong line, lol.

I feed squirrels daily. I have noticed that the little red ones are the toughest ones around. They will chase the black and gray ones away from any food. The chipmunks are so fast that no one can catch up to them. They are fascinating to watch.

There's just something so entirely adorable about Chipmunks & 🐿's 🙂. I've noticed also that a Squirrel will leave or wait for a Chipmunk. I've also seen Chipmunks chase Squirrels away. Crazy considering they are so much smaller!
yeah it is funny, chipmunks are very territorial with other chipmunks, they can be agressive but they like people and seem to tolerate the squirrels, i like how munchy emtpies the bowl and the squirrels are sitting there watching.

My Munchy:
Rescued a little adult bunny we had for 11 years (he lived to be at least 13; the vet who saw him first said he was at least 2; the last who saw him said he was like 120 to you or me but "looked great" even as he was ready to go and then she made a contribution to her vet school -who wrote us- in his name! she thought it was nuts... anyway, he was) named Munch, but we called him Munchie or most often Chi-Chi! He was so cute and so loved! These little guys are so cute & you obviously love them all! I live in the redwoods and we have SO many types of wild animals from a silver fox to a bobcat or coyote or deer, mountain lion, skunk, racoon, etc. and on our creek various types of ducks, a kingfisher, a blue heron along with so very many types up birds who live in our very tall trees (from hummingbirds to owls to turkeys... many woodpeckers of various types, drumming & cackling away). The morning is like a symphony... all creatures great & small. I asked my husband what we might see if we periodically put animal food on our window sills and his eyebrows went up! Thanks for sharing your little neighbors with us! 🙂

I remember being at a museum in Sacramento years ago and a squirrel kept coming to this guy's window by his desk and knocking, tap tap tap with it's paws on the slightly open window until given a peanut. Then a few minutes later back it would be for another one. It was so cute. I got more enjoyment out of watching the squirrel than walking around the museum.
Your squirrels and chipmunks are so polite, mine are way less nice, and one of my chipmunks is just nasty!
He pitches a fit and squeaks at the birds, squirrels, and other chipmunks (and even ends up spitting food out of his mouth sometimes in the process), and even chases after rabbits! He's so grumpy!
I notice the chipmunk stores a bunch of nuts in his cheek pouches for later. Squirrels need to get cheek pouches!!!

I had 6 squirrels, 1 red cardinal, and 4 chippies, 2 are regulars but the 2 new ones are youngsters😂❤ I gave them some meal worms, hazelnuts, walnuts, peanuts, almonds, they've never had the hazelnuts before and all went for them fast 😂❤ I love watching them 😂❤😂❤

Feefee was about to leave but heard the voice of his sweet human friend and came up to see her, I just love these precious interactions...God's creatures being taken care of by His precious daughter, so refreshing and peaceful to watch. I'm surprised raccoons haven't showed up yet😊
