After the payload is confirmed dispatched deactivate your speed limiter and RUN. At that distance is almost certain you will hit the target. What I see happen to you a couple of times is that the payload discharged after you lost a lock, it takes a second to fire the torpedo so you need to take into account that when delivering love. 6:10 I would have to disagree. I think they put that much detail consciously for 2 reasons: 1) the landing gear is that part that you will in fact see the most when interacting with such a large ship when docked, so 2) they have to use that detail to support the sense of scale, the feeling that you are looking at the legs that support a goddamn flying building! 3) they gotta convey that a landing gear in a ship this size is a complicated mechanism that has to support a lot of weight.

    Been flying the Eclipse for a year now. Sadly the last round of updates broke stealth... Before hand though the Eclipse could single handedly do Group VHRT and ERT missions easily.
    Upgrade to all the top stealth modules, jump out to your target and cruise in keeping your speed limiter in the white. You can get within 3.6km of the target before they can detect you.
    If you fire torps from farther than 5km out they will miss (target will chaff/flare). But if you wait till you are under 4km you will hit and kill the target everytime.
    Just fly in, target the main target while ignoring the escorts. Fire your torp, kill the target, and jump out before the escorts even know you were there. I chain 3 ERT's or a single Group ERT before going back to rearm

  • @Pangeora
    @Pangeora Před 2 lety +4

  • @PyroMaster87
    @PyroMaster87 Před rokem

    You've likely found this out by now but if you have all stealth components in the Eclipse and you turn off shields, weapons, and thrusters then it will lower your EM signature to around 700m. So as long as you stay farther than that nobody will be able to detect your ship. However with the size 9 torpedoes you'll need to be a minimum of 3,000m away to use them effectively and i've found that the Typhoon IX torpedoes work better than the standard Argos IX's because they have a 3.8 second lock on timer compared to the Argos's 10 or 12 second lock on time. Once fired the typhoons flight speed is around 3 or 4 times faster than the Argos torpedoes.

    I love my Eclipse. Also the Retaliator. I run VHRT's and ERT's swapping between them. I have seen hundreds of Seeker IX torps blowing up ships. But it NEVER gets old.

  • @AsuraDandy
    @AsuraDandy Před 10 měsíci

    Should be launching them at like 4000-3000m cause they have to unlatch from your bay to start its engine and track the target. So by the time it does that, you're already like 500m or less to your target so it just zooms right past the target and has to turn around, in which it just gives them enough time to flare up.

    The Default missiles on that ship are Cross-section missiles. They don't have counter-measures. Only way to dodge a cross-section is out maneuvering or getting an obstacle in-between missile and target.

    You getting a call at 24:25 is an exploit. There was a player name on the screen. Currently, when you call someone it shows the other person's position because a call brings you into a temporary party. Basically, someone is trying to find you in-game using that exploit.

    Picked up the eclipse during XT because I kept getting annoyed that the Idris would show up at the end but no one had anything that could do anything about it. Got it on the last day and only used it once. Took out 4 HH, which was so much fun. Of course the rearm glitch showed up and couldn’t do anything about the Idris.

      I heard that you need about 12 size 9's anyways, so you wont do much with the 3 s9's either. I used all my size 9's on an Idris without shields (friends got the shields down) - I did a load of damage with all 3, but not even close to killing it with just 3 size 9's.

    Love the video. and i know that stealth is a bit broken right now. but there is still bonusses to upgrading the parts as they have lower stats for power and infra anyway so you can become more stealthy. you can also turn off power to a few parts like both the guns and one of the coolers so reduce it further. and even though the stealth button is broken the suppress ir is not broken so you can really reduce your signature.

    Here is some tips for using the eclipse. For starters get a few seeker ix torpedoes, you can purchase them at area 18. It seems like it would help greatly to fire the missiles earlier so they don't have to turn around a bunch of times, potentially missing the target. Lastly, look into getting Grade A stealth components to further reduce you em and ir.

  • @CyberneticArgumentCreator

    21:10 the reason you're missing is because you're launching them as you fly past them and the missile literally has to 180 and wobbly-chase them. Something they do not do well. War Thunder top tier pilots are convulsing in their chairs seeing it.
    Just fire at like 2.5-3km when you're going that fast and turn your ship to aim it in front of them so it has a good intercept course.

    fly as low as possible. approach from behind a terrain feature. pop up and use your size 9 . it is a standoff weapon designed to fire and forget. Most stealth warplanes are not designed to enter combat. if the area seems safe enough and your target is high value close on the target and exhaust your remaining standoffs. escape. Do not allow the enemy to obtain technology from your advanced stealth aircraft by shooting it down. Gary Powers (U2 pilot} was supposed to take a cyanide capsule rather than be interrogated by the enemy. He failed.
