An important conversation we need to have, is, why do we only see them reporting heavily about weird behavior in hiphop? It's everyone in music. I remember when an entire tock genre was absolutely deatroyed, because almost every band was diddling children. I cant remember, because it was thw worst metal ever, but they all dressed like hipsters. The news came and went, the metal community stopped listening to them, but nothing ever really came of it from the mainstream.
