As a Calgary native, and someone who's been following you since the Comic Sans days, this is so awesome. You really hit some local classics and staples. I'll have to try this new VIet place when I'm home!

I haven't been to Silver Dragon for years. I am glad they're still in business.

I'm Asian Canadian but spent years in Nigeria. Did not think I would get a chance to eat their cuisine again after leaving the country decades ago.
    Flavors changed that.
Flavors is legit & truly authentic Nigerian cuisine. Their Jollof Rice & Pepper Soup tastes like it's straight out of Lagos.
Must check!! Props to the Madam there!!!

I'm a fan of yours. I like your food videos. It's a great thing you are introducing food type videos to foodies like me in different parts of Canada or various cities in Canada as well as airport food/cuisines.
I don't know if you will showcase your picks for Montreal restaurants/eateries as well as Ottawa, Vancouver, Halifax, St. John's, etc. I love this idea.
    Kudos.

Hey you should have highlighted Northeast And Southeast Calgary. That is where you will get hyper authentic North Indian and Pakistani cuisine. Plus a bunch of Viet food in International avenue which is also home to some off the beaten path restaurants. Otherwise thank you for highlighting my city👍🏼

The Calgary food scene is diverse but end products at best mediocre. I have eaten at some of restaurants on this list. I would max rate them 3/5 some lower. Canada in general is use to low quality service and products. Whether you talk about infrastructure or waiting 15 hours at an emergency or bad weather. Food is the same. Calgary has improved over the years but it has a very long way to go to even compared against any major city in the US and don't even compare to Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, Mumbai, Amsterdam, London etc. The biggest problem is there too much focus on presentation and also the overall natural quality of ingredients cannot be compared to Asia and Europe. North America has chicken sides of dogs. When the basic ingredient is bad the flavors don't work. There is also bad habit of using canned ready made things. Most of the Indian restaurants are so lazy they will use canned tomatoes to create base of their curry. Nobody will ever do that in India. It almost makes the gravy taste like a masala marinara sauce. Many Indian restaurants also use ready made fried onions from bags as garnishing. That is sinful. Make fresh fried onions in ghee and then top that on your biryani. That will elevate the dish. Laziness is there because local population doesn't know better and used to bad food. Thai food does not exist in Calgary. Every so called thai restaurant is 50 percent close. I was once at a top rated thai restaurant in Calgary with 4.9 rating . While ordering food owner was there. I speak fluent thai. I have lived in Thailand 25 years. She later came and apologize about her food to me without me even complaining. She knew her own food was not thai food and she knew I knew what is thai food.
