My favorite is the cat and hat series "Are you my mother" my kiddos loved when I read it to them
A favorite is “My little book of manners”
My kids always loved “The Rainbow Fish”!
Right now my kids really love ‘Make Way for Ducklings” 🙂
My little guy loves the board books from "if you give a mouse a cookie" series. The pumpkin is his favorite.
Right now we are all enjoying Dr. Seuss and the beginner books.
It is so hard to pick a favorite. I really love the If You Give A Mouse series.
My kids love "The Day the Crayons Quit" and "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus"
It is true especially at those "foundational years" that a child mimics what they see or hear. I had to get my two-year-old a preschool workbook because she saw my other two working in theirs this summer.
We love “Go, Dog. Go!” by P.D. Eastman.
My favorite picture book for reading to my kids was an oldie, but a goodie...Fox in Socks. We are ALL laughing through that one. Even better have an unsuspecting grandpa read it to your kids...loads of laughs as they navigate all the tongue twisters. ;)
We loved Brown Bear, Brown Bear. That was the first book my daughter would “read” outloud when she was like two or three. 🥰
With 4 kiddos we have so many favorites. Right now the favorite is the Elephant and Piggie books
I Took the Moon for a Walk has been my favorite for close to 10 years!
My favorite picture book is “I Just Want To Say Goodnight.”
For preschool I think Green Eggs and Ham has to be our favorite.
My daughter (2) loves books so much. Our family favorite is Max and the Tag Along Moon.
We love The Poky Little Puppy's Wonderful Winter Day. My mom used to read it to us when we were little. I got the Gentle and Classical Primer for my kindergartener! She doesn't really need the academic part of it but I plan to use the artist and music studies and catechism as a basis for all of my kids.
Room on the Broom! It's a favorite for the fall season!
Our favorite has been "Down on the Farm"
We are currently dealing with tantrums so I got the Wobbler book from Usborne and she LOVES that book and it really has helped with the tantrums, we have something that helps her understand what’s going on and how to get rid of the mood. Biggest thing is she brings the book to me most days now as one of her favorites to read over and over and over!
With all my kids we read the Biscuit books at the preschool age. They are so cute. We also loved the Corduroy bear books too.
So many good picture books! My kids love blue hat, green hat.
I love the big red barn. Lol.
Don’t know why but I just love it
Oh my goodness! I have no idea how I would pick a favorite preschool book. There are so many. 🙂 I love reading to my little people. Right now, without a doubt, my 20 month old little boy's favorite book is 100 First Animals. My 3 year old... Harry the Dirty Dog, all the Otis the Tractor books the library has. ... There are dozens! 🙂
My niece loves the gentle & classical preschool, I’ve done a free lesson and it seems great. Also my favorite picture books are Frog & Toad, Dr SEUSS and Little Bear series to name a few ☺️
Picking a favorite pre-school book is so hard!!! The hungry caterpillar is definitely a top contender for sure!!!
That is such a hard question to answer! I have so many I love but I will say one of my top favorites is Where the Wild Things Are.
I pack a Dollar Tree backpack with coloring books, a cute bag of crayons, dry erase board books and markers for my 2 year old. He loves to sit down next to his kindergarten brother and open his "packpack". 🤣 He usually "works" for about 20 minutes and then goes off to play trains, but he feels included.
I also got him a "Preschool Story Stretchers" book that I'm going to start with him next week (I didn't want to add that in on our first week since I didn't know how it would go). I don't believe in schooling early either, but I know Brother will love that one on one time with Mama, and I with him, while my kindergartner decompresses after his school time.
I LOVE "Last Stop on Market Street"!!!
My favorite preschool picture book is "Vegetables in Underwear" by Jared Chapman.
That's a hard question, lol! My kiddos (& myself ;) always enjoy the Elephant & Piggie and Skippy Jon Jones books.
Our family preschool book is The Little Blue Truck! 🛻
Don’t have a preschooler, but still enjoyed your video. 😌. Favorite preschool book- Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Such a great book for them to get familiar with “read” to themselves when they’ve heard it many times, and start that love of reading on a positive foot.
We had so many picture/ board books… The Little Blue Truck… was one of the favorites.
Thanks for sharing with all of us!
We are also doing Exploring Nature with Children and are really enjoying it so far. Some of our favorites are the Little Blue Truck series, Pumpkin Soup, Flotsam, Paddington, and One Morning in Maine. It's way too hard to choose one!
love the ideas for preschoolers. i’ve never done sensory bins for my kids but now i think i might.
We love “Are you my Mother?”. I think I’ve ready it so much that I have it memorized. We also love “Just Incase you Ever Wonder”.
My daughter is loving the Little Blue Truck series. Thanks for sharing your picks!
Our favourite picture/preschool books are the early Lift the Flap First Questions and Answers books by Usborne!! Such a fun series!! The peep inside series is good too.
Well, I haven't had preschoolers of my own anymore, mine are older grades, but I do a lot of preschool childcare, and one of our favourite books has been 'I Love You More Than Rainbows'.
My favorite picture book is Going on a Bear Hunt. My girls love it. They still make me read it and they are 7&10.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was a favorite for my youngest son.
My favorite toddler book is the little red hen. My oldest son liked are you my mother though. I have a 1 year old and I totally already get how they need something to do during “school” he is too young for anything formal so I am trying to gather a few inexpensive toys that can hold his attention.
My preschooler currently loves all seek and find books and Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons. He loves singing along with it. He also loves anything dinasours. I found very basic books that has numbers, colors and opposites all with dinasours.
My sons current favorite picture book is the ‘The Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly’ series!
My little people definitely also want to do school when they see the older ones doing so.
My preschoolers are doing Gather Round's Letters & Numbers! It is adorable and SO fun! I love all the resources you share here. My favorite prek book is Brown Bear!
Oh my goodness I picked the gentle+classical preschool curriculum too!! My fav preschool picture book to read is The Three Little Pigs!
Ah! Use a binder instead of menus! Genius!
My favorite book for preschool is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
I like reading the grouchy lady bug to my kids they love it
My 3 year old loves so many books little blue truck, loves Usborne books, etc
My youngest is 8 and still loves The Story of Ping! I think it’s the sounds that he gets to make during certain parts of the story. We also have great memories of our Five in a Row study we did with that book!
Our favorite preschool picture book is All Kinds of Kisses by Nancy Tafuri.
Thanks for some great ideas for Preschool. I am homeschooling my 3 year old for preschool this year
My favorite preschool picture book is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?”
ohh that's a hard one! I love "A Story For Bear."
Probably good night moon and the big red barn!
I'll go with the picture book my youngest asks me to read the most... Snowflake Bentley 😊
My favorite book to read to my 2 year old is picture book from IKEA... She loves it🤗
We love I’ll Teach My Dog A Lot of Words... My kids memorized that book even when they haven’t started reading yet, just because we repeat it over and over and over again!!!
Seeing all of your wonderful choices has me missing when I had little ones. Preschool was so fun back then
We had a morning board for my preschooler, much like that binder. We loved it!!
Our favourite book we come back to time and again is Islandborn! So so beautiful!
Oh man, this is a tough one. I have an obsession with cute and/or fun picture books. 😬
All of the Little Blue Truck books, Blub Blub Fish, Curious George, the Francis series, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the artist series by Louis Anholt have all been favorites and then most recently it has been Pirate Mustache Baby - I read that one to my 3 year old at least once a day.

So many favorite picture books 📚
The picture book on the seasons is my top pick 🌷🌻🍁🌲
My son had me read Mike mulligan and his steam shovel over and over and other kiddos really like the Otis the tractor books and Pete the cat
My toddler loves all the Biscuit the dog books!
I love any of Barbara Cooney’s books!! 📚
I love you forever by Hoda My granddaughter loves it, I'll be starting preschool with her this year
That's a tough one! Looking at our bookshelf, one of the most worn out books is Goodnight iPad. It's a modern take on Goodnight Moon, and my girls used to beg us to read it to them every night before bed! And because it is such a funny book, we didn't mind!
My absolute favorite book to read to the kiddos when they were little was Meet me at the moon by Gianna Marino. 🐘❤
The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Llama Llama Red Pajama are our favorites. I’m pretty sure I have both memorized! 🤣 This video is definitely helpful.. I’m always trying to figure out what to do with my younger ones. We have 5 kids over here ranging from 11mo-13yr.
My youngest son loved the board book, I Love You, Stinky Face😃
My preschooler is loving the book So Many Bunnies 🐰☺️
That's a really hard question! A couple of my faves from my childhood are Inside, Outside, Upside Down and Are You My Mother?
My kids really love all the picture books from Kane Miller publishing with Usborne Books and More!
My all time favorite picture book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🍎🍕🍪🍭🥧
I have my original book from when I was a toddler and now it's been read to all three of my boys (ages 17, 13, 11) and someday I hope to read it to my grandchildren.
Love your ideas so much! A favorite in my family is I love you forever! I remember my great grandma gathering me and my sisters around her and reading this book to us. At the very end she asked my dad her grandson to rock her. And she sang her song love is like a butterfly to him. 💕 My great grandma would read and sing and teach us Bible verses. When I was older we found so many treasures of things she did for her family and they are things I am doing with my family! So long story short that book holds a very special place in my heart!
My son's and my favorite picture book right now is "nobody hugs a cactus" by Carter Goodrich it is really cute
We have so many favorites here! So I asked my 3.5 year old what his current favorite is and he said “S is for Sunshine.”
We used the original Gentle Classical Preschool for my oldest’s preschool year and used their Primer level this past year for kindergarten. I’ll definitely be pulling elements from the preschool level for my two youngest!
Our preschooler is obsessed with The Three Little Pigs and all the different variations! We have a Clifford the big red dog version, a knight version, a silly Three Little Wolves version. It's a classic and a hit in our house!
@ The Big Red Barn
Have you read “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!” by Jon Scieszka? Such a great book.
@@marlah.7511 Yes! So good!
Thanks for sharing these resources. I have an almost 3 year old that I will be working with this school year so these resources would come in handy to have some structure to it. One of our favorite picture books to read is the snowy day by Ezra Jack Keats.
Brown bear brown bear what do you see? Eric Carle is one of our favorite

I am planning on posting updated curriculum picks by the beginning of May! If that’s too long to wait, shoot me an email with specific questions 😀
@@EverydayHomeschooler That is perfect! I downloaded several free week trials and we are working through those now. Can’t wait to hear about all your picks!
