I loved Lewis! He was definitely the best character crush I had growing up. The German voice actor Leonhard Mahlich also did a great job. The cool thing is that he also dubbed Kristoff in Frozen. That's why Angus McLaren is the real life Kristoff for me :D

My sister and I binged all of H2O for the first time (shocking considering it was our generation and we're Aussies...) just this year at 25! When Lewis came back for the graduation, we screamed and woke up the house 😂😬 It was midnight after a full day of binging and were delirious. Such an iconic moment 😂

There’s nothing wrong with doing something with the original cast but have the characters be the actors age, like they did with Icarly.
I'm so glad that you talked about toxic masculinity, Tyler. I agree with you that Lewis was a prime example of healthy masculinity, but so are you, Tyler! I stumbled upon your H2O reels on Instagram and subbed immediately. I just find it so refreshing that you love this show so openly! I grew up watching H20, but in my country no guy would ever openly admit they love the show uncritically precisely because of the gender socialisation and toxic masculinity. It was always viewed as a show "for girls". Even I, as a girl, was a little shy do admit (at the time) that I was watching it, because I was more of a "tomboy" growing up. I mean, there's nothing wrong with being traditionally more "girly" or liking "girly" things, and the stigma around it should die and never come back. It's refreshing to see a guy just being unapologetically himself! Love it, love it, love it! Keep up the good work!

The most underrated relationship was Don and Lewis 😂 like when everyone thought Cleo was dating Zane, and I love Lewis in episode one and two season one where he wants to see them naked when they’re hiding behind rocks with their tails 🤣🤣
i love seeing the cast speak so fondly of the show! its great to see angus praise the main cast of mermaids for their work. i get washed out spending a few hours in the pool, i can't imagine spending hours getting in the tail, having to do take after take to get the right shots, then having to perform enthusiastically both in and OUT of the water!
watching the show back, im so glad there was a male lead in a teen show who wasn't gross and toxic. lewis was always so likeable, unique, confident but never cocky in a way that was made to mask or justify shitty behavior as so many young male characters of this time were made to be. it would've been too easy to give him a jealousy storyline or even dismissing his character as a sidekick ( which it never felt like he was). he was integral to the friendship, an equal piece of the puzzle of the mermaid mystery. it was great to see a guy be friends with girls and be supportive while holding his own. and he played him with such charm and had amazing comedic timing, easily one of the funniest characters if not the funniest. he had great chemistry with all the cast, loved to see him banter with ricky and go head to head (or in times alied himself) with cleo's dad
H2O was such a big part on my childhood and it absolutely holds up. Iv loved these interviews you’ve done.

I absolutely love how when Tyler asked him to share a memorable scene he immediately went for the awkward Clewis high five from season 1 ep 8 when it was obvious they liked each other but didn’t know how to express it properly! It really is an important and cute moment and he speaks so fondly about it, and it’s just awesome that a Clewis scene was the first thing that popped into his head😅 Clewis forever❤️❤️❤️

I had such a crush on him growing up! I love the fact that he loved science but he didnt let it define him by being the personification of the word ‘geek’, and he never took shit from anyone either. Apart from maybe Ricky but I think he only did that because she was friends with Cleo and he didnt want to upset Cleo by falling out with one of her friends(I still wish Cleo had told Ricky to be nicer to Louis). I loved the way they all stood up to Miriam, Zane and Nate. They werent geeks, or complete loners but they werent popular either, that’s why they were so relatable. They were just in the middle like most people

There's an interview on here with Kay Ben M'Rad, who was the executive producer, and she said that H2O was lucky to be made during a boom period in children's TV and so the budget and production values were extremely high. As a production they were enjoying the runaway success of Ocean Girl and were given the resources to recreate that

I watched H20 thx to you Tyler, I'm obsessed with it now and I got to admit Lewis is my crush, and I agree with the toxic masculinity and I really appreciate you did interview with some of the cast, knowing their actually doing well in their personal life brings a relief and also happiness and also I really appreciate the parody you did, if you didn't do that, I wouldn't even know about H2o which I would never want to miss in my life

My little sister and I BINGED h20 one summer when we were little on Netflix probably around 2013? We were around 10 and 8 and now we’re 19 and 17. We saw parts of it on Disney channel but once it was added on Netflix we watched it constantly and I haven’t watched an episode since. Your content has def made me want to watch it again.
I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all the sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith.
So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana".
I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling.
He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car.
A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

I really love H2O it was my favorite show, when I first saw it on netflix I was like "What is this?" Then after watching all the seasons I was like "What that's it?" T^T I want moreeeeeeeeeee I was watching the show for the past week until yesterday watching all the seasons again I was like "AWWWWW I remember this, I wish there was reboot" 🥺❤ Lewis and Cleo were my favorite couple in the show.

Angus was the perfect actor for Lewis
I like to think of Lewis as an early Beakman type character, before the wig. And his three lab assistants, as being the mermaids, but also going to the "Information Center' to help him do research. I even enjoy the animated version of the character in H2O: Mermaid Adventures, but of course Angus in the part is so much better, because he can do, and show, in a live action role.
