Great update. I like these types of long thorough updates. I have been following you for a long time now and your systems look complicated but they are not really. I think it looks that way because when you add stuff later it makes it look like there is more going on than it really is.

That is one of the main ingredients for the Captiv8 Aquaculture salt I use. That particular salt is about as pure as it gets.

Was it hard to regulate all the flow from all the tanks into one sump? It seems like it would be a little bit of a challenge to say the least.
Why Both Calcium reactor and Kalkwasser? Why not just stick to one method. As a home hobbyist, should I just stick with one method? I know you’re farming

So just curious, I don't have a reef tank myself but all the videos I have seen of reef tank require tremendous water flow. Aren't you wearing out those fish that constantly have to fight the flow or do they find spots at night to get away?
You should see how much flow there is in the ocean! It’s a lot more than in these tanks. It’s hard to replicate the sheer volume of water moving around reefs.
And yes the hide away under rocks at night often
Hey Keith, what happens if detritus starts gathering in the cryptic sump? You ever get a powerhead in there to turn the bottom up and blast the rocks ?
At this point that does not seem to be an issue but if it ever did build up it would be pretty simple to siphon it out.
Can definitely tell you were a plumber at some point, very clean PVC lines!! But the wire management and dosing lines everywhere really takes away from the clean plumbing you did. Another thing i noticed, maybe youll do another video on, you barely talk or showed the livestock for your systems, alot of technology talk, which i get your a tech guy. But some stories or little updates on your favorite fish and corals that your growing would be nice in a long video like this.

Not wanting to answer on his behalf, but read his book and watch his videos. The key is patience and stability.
Question, any reason why you don’t gate your overflows? Seems like a lot of unnecessary noise.
My overflows are pretty rudimentary.
