What about some encrusting corals to cover the bottom, like chalice, cyphastrea, Leptoseris, Favia etc? There are some stunning forms and colours in them. Would this also help keep the bare bottom clean and under the darker lower par areas?

The bare bottom tanks often struggles with the macro algae you aren’t alone on that I had the same experience in a previous tank I had it never grew so I give up doing that
