- Join me as I install the Ripatuned 5" Intake on my new-to-me 2022 Ram TRX! Just got the truck back from the paint shop, had a full paint match done on the entire truck over the last 5 weeks. Couldn't be happier with the outcome and the new intake is the icing on the cake! Now just waiting for my new 22" VTForged wheels to arrive!

I'll be honest, this seems like it's less effective than OEM intake as it doesn't use ram air anymore and pulls hotter air.

Friends with a few guys at Ripa and I promise anything coming out of that shop is INSANE.
Hoping to upgrade from my 340i to one of these and a track hawk in the next few years, 100% getting both suv and truck built by them.

I absolutely love the paint match! Mines the Granite Metalic and I want to do what you did but glass black on all the trim with the hood Vents Carbon...What did it run you for all the paint matching? I absolutely agree with you on liking the TRX factory bumper!

This is definitely the move I think I would try to get the black textured skid plate for the front bumper instead of paint matching it and then keep all the little trim pieces textured black but I loveee the paint match look killer truck dude 👊🏼

How much did the paint match cost you? I’m looking to do the same for my black TRX. Did you use a major chain or local body shop? Also, how did you paint match the front skid plate? Is it powder coated I presume?

If you change tires to street but same size you can enjoy it more 😊 at least more less tire sound

Ripatuned is ok for black pavement 1/4 mile runs, even then that aluminum soaks heat faster in that engine bay than plastic. Along with engine bay heat. The exposed filter on dusty roads will cram up with gunk so fast that you'll choke the air right off. If you do more offroading, go for sealed filters taking air from the cold hood intake.
I don't do any off-roading, it's entirely a street truck for me!

Nice truck. But Ripatuned is crap. I'd go with S&B.
Appreciate the feedback! I considered S&B but wanted the loud whine, and figured "the bigger the better". I think only Ripa, Bwoody and JMB offer the 5" intakes. I like Ripa's positioning best, and once I remove the panel in the grille, it will have direct cold air feed.
@Vipertoad I have S&B and it's very loud with a MASSIVE filter, much bigger than this and use hood ram and grill ram as well like OEM.
