I looked for this scene after hearing about it in the comments of the Casablanca Marseillaise Scene. The drag queen was a surprise.

There is also an AMAZING Marseillaise scene in Abel Gance's Napoleon, my personal favourite

They were staging a play in a POW camp, there's a decided lack of women for female parts. A pretty common occurrence in military life and throughout history. Pull your head of your ass and stop viewing everything through the lens of the modern culture war. Read some actual history instead.

The scene takes place in a German POW camp where the French prisoners are trying to entertain themselves ... Until they learn of a french victory in battle. And then immediately sing the French national anthem.
