Would love a video dedicated to the retired golden age resources/relics/elements! I love the old mechanics that we can’t find in the present day’s Heroclix. Love your vid man!
I'm still getting caught up on Critical Clix Podcasts. Thank you for such amazing content! My only issue right now coming from a 2 decades deep comp 40K player who played heroclix at Keith's Komix for a couple years, about 10 years ago. Is the incredibly expensive pieces like Mephisto or a $300 Carnage Surfer. And seeing how everyone has multiple Porters, how does a newer player put a 300 point competitive team together using affordable clix?
it takes finesse to be sure. one of the major things I did not touch on in this video is the logistics of putting a team together. What many do not realize, is that most competitive players borrow a considerable portion of their team. Not everyone owns everything and it is perfectly acceptable to borrow figures for an event.
@@LucaVaHolla91 Oh, yeah definitely. Our group does the same thing. Except that none of us have 2 Porters, and 2 Carnage Surfers lol. But, I do have both Blackhearts by mainly collecting from the Wheels set. On your review of Blackheart, I'll be playing him next week in a local tourney. Scott being so dramatic over Jennifer Kale makes me want to try her out. And thanks to the last show I listened to this morning, I guess I'll be chasing down a Phoenix Sentinel.
Great vid! Tho i must ask because i was considering a team build with doc sasquatch, would a normal motorcycle with charge and supersense be better than hypersonic and esd from hell cycle? That way he can charge picking up terrain objects and smacking people with it?
The benefit of Charge/Super-senses is he gains a defense regardless of the attack. And you are correct, he can make an attack using the terrain feature. HSS/ESD is good for reducing the odds of getting shot. The danger is once you HSS in to hit, you need to roll break-away to get away since Doc doesn't have a ranged option. You fail that and your ESD is virtually worthless. I will say if you run elevated terrain, HSS + Super-Strength can be used to move in, place elevated under your target, make your attack through the triangle-transition square, then move away taking the elevated with you getting a free 'falling damage'. Good luck with whatever you choose.
HSS gives broader reach to Doc Sasquatch which is something this team needed. The ESD is good for the approach, and honestly you are wanting your opponent to attack Sasquatch, so if you are based and force those attacks, thats a good thing. If you really need to attack and move away, remember he has Super Strength which provides knockback on close attacks, so as long as the criteria is met, you can ensure you aren't adjacent after the attack.
I've been playing since 2003 and team-building has always been my least-favorite part of the game. I really hate it. Interesting to see the thought process of meta-player-builds, while I can't afford nor would ever field such a team as the example given, it provides some insight into the mindset of those builders as well as what those meta-teams that fail lack. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
A few things to keep in mind here. The figures chosen were used as examples. If you are focusing on the specifics you are missing the point of the video. Uncommon Dr. Strange from Avengers Forever fits the same style of what I recommended and he's an uncommon. "would never field a team" is a mindset I would strongly discourage. Just because a figure is good or popular doesn't mean its taboo. Play what works and feels good for you. Don't forget you can also borrow figures from players who are not using the specific piece at the time. thanks for commenting. Cheers.
Good content, I’d like to hear more.
Thanks for sharing Lucas!
My pleasure! thanks for watching!

If you "replace" a die in one of your attack rolls, can your opponent then prob it afterwards? How does the order work?
You can replace after all rerolls. So you prob. Then after the prob resolves you could change one of the 🎲.
@@ertai222 Awesome! Thank you!
