Yeah, but just by imagining the possibility of gamefreak making this exactly same designs, I already can hear people complaining about "Pokémon is no longer the same". We like fakemons cause' we're always fascinated by the things that we can't have. We have a pretty toxic community tho.

We need a fan game if this. the designs are better than most other fan made game. If storyline is good I reckon it would become Pokémon insurgence level of good
I think it makes them feel more like they would actually live in the same region. Convergent evolution due to some electrical aspect to their habitat possibly, maybe thunder storms are common, it would make sense if its based off Australia and they live on the more flat parts, which naturally have less cover from electrical storms. That is IF the region is based off Australia... which isn't confirmed, i just think it would fit best. I'm just a fan of this specific fakedex though... i didn't help make it, i'm just brainstorming.
Thank you so much for all of your dedication and all of the other people mentioned in this video. Not a single one of them dissapointed me. All of these pokemon look a lot better than a lot of canon pokemon.

As a person that comes from Australia I love these designs and they think that they are true to the real Australia like the brumbie pokemon, not just kangaroos and koalas. Good job man I so wish this was a real game!

Took me a bit but I realized this would be the pokemon equivalent of Australia. Cept I think New Zealand would be closer and tasmania might be connected, probably by an isthmus. Also those aborigine spirit things make surprisingly good ideas for legendaries.

This is by far my favourite fakedex of pokemon I have seen. awesome designs, names and typing. would be a sweet dex for an Australian based region give or take a few!
So are we going to make it? Shouldn’t be too hard to put together. A team of four or three could do it using a previous Pokémon game as the engine. I recommend on of the 2d ones like platinum. One works on Porting the Pokémon over, one works on working out the kinks and two work on over world and story. Also should add a nuzlock gamemode.
Some of these or i should say, half of these are futuristic looking. I would love to see some of these in a true Pokémon game. That Staryu and Starmie form was pretty cool.
All of the designs were excellent. Most of the Pokemon that were based off of animals or Uluru, I immediately recognized or had to think about a little bit. Definitely hope Game freak takes inspiration from these awesome designs.

I feel like there are a lot of cool ideas in here, but almost all of them are missing that Pokémon feel. These feel like they belong in Yo-Kai or something, but I do think there are a lot of good designs.
@Ironbay Knight G it's just what makes something feel like a pokémon. Like if you put these designs in the middle of the pokedex, I feel like a lot of them would stand out. That's just my opinion though.
I took a massive break from Pokemon after the national dex stuff because it was stressing me out and making the fandom generally miserable to be in, but now I'm coming back into it, and I completely forgot how much I adore these games and this franchise. I don't have my 3DS nor 3DS games with me atm, and unfortunately I have zero interest in either Pokemon games available for switch, so I'm hoping that whatever Gamefreak puts out next is great. I want to be able to be passionate about this again.
