Sure. I tend to check out people's channels if they're active on the channel, or seem like they may be interesting. However, I'm very picky on what I subscribe to, and I just don't watch every kind of video just because someone asked me to. Same goes for shout-outs, I cannot fairly shout-out somebody for no reason other than they asked, it would be unfair to anyone else who were to ask and I would be unable to do so. A shoutout from me will not gain you much viewership or subscribers.

McFarlane purposely put on the gear from the game so that when he does an Origins bats and joker he will put the assoceries of this one in that packaging making you completest HAVE to buy both and by that time this one will be on the secondary market and the price will sky rocket so you have a complete set. Devilishly Evil but a smart business decision. Thank Marvel BAF for that business model..
I like Joker and bulkier batman in origins better anyway.
The DC Direct looks like the original Batman Arkham Asylum on PS3 and 360 while the mcfarlane looks like the remaster. Articulation is better on mcfarlane, Sculpt looks better in places on the DC Direct. Mcfarlane has incorrect accessories from Arkham Origins, he should have the line launcher, explosive Gel, Cryptographic Sequencer, or the Sonic batterang.
I’m quite upset about that but hopefully if he makes an Armored Batman from the challenge mode, damaged, Arkham City or Origins figures. The accessories will be correct. I absolutely love Arkham Asylum Batman, the logo is unique for the series, the rest of the games use the advertising/Cover logo as I call it.
I’m glad I have a chance to get him even if with the faults like the accessories. I hope This foreshadows an Arkham Origins Batman because I love that look! Nice video btw, I love straight forward comparisons like this.
Edit: No longer have the figure, couldn’t pose him worth a damn. Hard obnoxious cape and pinched me lots. Good riddance
The batman that came with bane back in the day was a dope Arkham Asylum Batman, the colors were right, and no derpy eyes/stubby ears like the other old ones
I really like the McFarlane one, but yeah those accessories confuse me so much.
Funny enough, the Arkham knight has the Arkham city accesories
I think the original has a better sculpt (a more accurate sculpt) but the mcfarlane has better articulation
Yep the Mcfarlane needs better leg sculpts because all of them don’t have any musculature.

I kid you not, this was exactly the comparison I was looking for. I ended up gifting the older figure to my brother. He ended up liking it better.

@3:04 - that's not the glue grenade, it's the concussion grenade from Arkham Origins. The one that nobody ever remembers or uses. The glue grenade would have blue coloring on where the yellow is.
They're the exact same model. And I used this as reference for the color. Been ages since I've played it tho so I may not be right.

Despite the accuracy of the elongated head and ears of McFarlane’s version, I prefer the less accurate look of the DCD head sculpt. The eye’s on the McFarlane bother me, as well. They look kinda derpy and could probably use a different paint app all together. Maybe lowering the irises to touch the bottom lids and giving them a slight change in spacing them. I would also like to remove the sheen from the cape and cowl of McFarlane’s Batman, if possible.

What happened to your face batman i told you not to fall for the wanna know how i got these scars stick?! Lol.It should of been one piece for his head but im glad to of got him because I've always wanted a more articulated Asylum bats.The color feels more Arkham City than asylum and the accessories are strange,when companies do that it makes me feel like they just want to pump these figures out without any love of research.It is very cool that some people could get these accessories finally though.Cool review man!
I'm so late to this, but, have to comment. 1, great video comparison. 2, I opted for the DC direct one just because I really like the color scheme with the dark blue. It's most classic Batman for me and I also tend to move away from the modern black superhero costumes these days. Yes, black makes more sense than bright(er) colors in a more realistic context... If there's such a thing in superhero movies.. but, I would love to see a modern Batman movie going back to using the blue and grey... Well, going to have to wait a bit longer since that's going to happen in the new Batman with Robert Pattinson that just released.
I'm thinking McFarlane put those accessories because he saw those in different games of Batman in the Arkham series maybe he felt like putting different accessories in it from those games I don't know it's kind of weird though
Lol the nit pick of the accessories from the wrong game made me laugh. I mean the other one didn’t really have anything so if it is from the wrong game don’t use it. I welcome any extra bat gear always.
The gear is nice but it is a notable error in the figure, it wouldn't be a proper review if I didn't bring up the inaccurate accessories. To me it's like if they gave Episode 4 Luke Skywalker a green lightsaber, it's just not right.
Technically, timeline-wise, Batman was in ownership of the Origins accessories when he was in Asylum.

Maybe they're going to release an Arkham Origins Batman and they're giving us an easter egg. I just ordered mine and the Joker too.
Man, if only McFarlane would have put the grid texture all over the suit, instead of just his ribs and arms, it would be perfect. Needed some blue highlights, but nothing I can’t customize in! Just miss that uniform texture all over the suit.
The only ugly thing of the DC Direct one is the diferent color of the mask and cape. in the rest things is superior than the Mcfarlane one.

I think all it means is that McFarlane wasn't paying attention to what accessories are really accurate. But I'd buy any Arkham Batman figure they make!
Not yet, but I've seen that we will be getting an Arkham Knight Batman some time in the near future. Although who knows what accessories they may give that figure....
the cape is better the DC Direct one. Look like a cape. What is the material of the new cape? stone?.

I didn't like the mcfarlan version because of that face and the dcd face is much better. In terms of accuracy DCD wins for me. The cape looks much similar to the AA since it drapes much more smoother there rather than the mcfarlan version with added folds at the back. The Bat emblem is accurate than the mcfarlan version and the face too. The advantage of mcfarlan ver. Is the articulation and texture to the suit and the cape.

I feel the black is slightly inaccurate. I read somewhere that the cowl was actually dark blue . It wasnt just lighting
Yeah the black makes it look more Arkham City-like. I wish it would have a blue tint, but it's not the biggest deal in the world.
The bat symbol is also inaccurate, it looks more Arkham city than asylum but it’s still a great figure.
@@NothingISeVErything881 The Bat symbol is, design-wise, faithful to Asylum. But proportionally it's off, the middle tail is too long.
@Robd1 replies The first game was black. It was the lighting that made it looked blue.
It’s factually blue in Arkham Asylum. The emblem is black on the suit and you can clearly see the difference in the color. If the cape, cowl, gauntlet etc were black, it would match the black emblem, which it doesn’t.

I headed up the plastic and used a wedge, like a fine-tipped flathead screwdriver.

I didn’t get the DC Direct Arkham Asylum Batman, he wasn’t articulated enough for me at the time, and though the McFarlane Arkham Batman is a bit inaccurate, he looks great and poses well. My go to Batman for now.

I prefer McFarlane is more similar to the video game in my opinion
One thing I noticed with the Joker and Batman figures from McFarlane, is just how damn "light" they feel. They feel like Mattel figures, and I'm really not a fan of that. The DC Direct figures always had some weight to them, and I really liked that. McFarlane ALWAYS does this. The paint and quality is usually pretty bad, and that's in favor of the added articulation. Which, I get, but how many damn companies have proven that they can apply decent paint AND articulation? McFarlane needs to get a grip on that.
I like the new one better it’s just more accurate and more articulated. However it makes me mad that we got origins gadgets because they should’ve given us the explosive gel and either the regular batclaw or the ultra batclaw from the end of the game
Ultra batclaw would have been very appreciated, and an actual smoke pellet. They probably THOUGHT thats what they were making, but had no idea it was wrong.
Articulation of the toros of the new one is horrible. And the legs and too thin.

Dcd batman is really game accurate， the mcfarlane one is wtf……0%accurate.
As much as I like the look of it, McFarlane’s is a more accurate looking figure. I don’t like Batman’s look in the game, so I can appreciate the first release more. I wish it wasn’t so accurate for that reason. I would rather have had them take more liberties to make the figure more appealing.
DC Direct has all the good proportion but has a bad articulation. Mcfarlane has a better articulation but has a bad proportion
