Sub 100g whoop with battery and a stock DJI O3 Air Unit?

  • The DJI O3 Air Unit is amazing yet it is considerably heavier than other digital HD systems in the market. While it is possible to "go naked" to save some weight, the task is quite daunting.
The good news is that it is still possible mount a stock O3 on a 2" whoop, even on a 75mm! The build is pretty easy and nothing beats having a sub 100g machine, including the battery, that does 4k stablized recording and 1080p streaming with a flight time close to 4 minutes.
Note that the whoop is quite rear heavy especially the 75mm one, it seems to affect takeoffs the most so be ready to compensate ;)
    Parts list for 75mm
    - DJI O3 Air Unit
    - BetaFPV AIO 12A
    - 0802 16,000kv motors
    - Gemfan 40mm 1610 props
    - 75mm whoop frame
    - Vecro strap
    - Zip ties
    - Double-sided tape

I’m always looking for a reasonably quiet small whoop/cinewhoop for cruising in fairly low light indoor environments. I currently use a hdzero Mobula7 which is pretty good, video quality is ok but not great, tried the Walksnail whoop vtx video looks very good in good lighting but terrible once the light gets below a certain point, also the blacks are poor, so one of these might just fit the bill and of course it’s a good excuse for another build😊

Hi I am inspired by your video and trying to upgrade my Cetus X with the betafpv 85x frame and a Caddx Vista vtx. I am almost there but having an issue that the Battery Voltage on my OSD is acting crazy. The voltage was 8.7v (2s) before arming. When I raise the throttle, the number increases immediately to 9-10v and can go all the way up to 28V. I realize that the number responds to the throttle input. When I am in the middle area of throttle, it reads around 22V and when full throttle it goes to 28v. Is there any chance you know what is going on?
