Hunter Original Ceiling Fan

Hunter Original 52" ceiling fan in brushed nickel. I won this fan on eBay, from JW at VCF. This is a fan that I've wanted for a long time but never really thought I would have since they typically go for insane prices at resale. It's in good condition, has a slight wobble due to a couple of slightly warped blades and hums a little bit but nothing detrimental.

Seeing this original in brushed nickel brings back childhood memories as I would see these in this finish in the hunter catalog

It's weird how they discontinued this finish as I'd expect it to sell well in this finish since it would match with a lot of today's modern styles, these seem to be a bit rare in this finish

Very uncommon in brushed nickel. It was stupid, Hunter was doing brushed nickel before it was cool, then they discontinued the Original in this finish and brushed nickel blew up as a hot finish in the marketplace. Assuredly this finish would've sold well had it stuck around for another few years.

My dad is saying that we have to get brushed nickel only but I told him that not every ceiling fan or light fixture has to be brushed nickel.

Why does the motor jerk around, when you pull the chain?

It hangs on a rubber bushing which means it's kind of just floating, so with nothing holding it rigidly in place it just moves.

I really want one but I have a rental house and I can't install ceiling fans I wanna like floor test it but I don't think I can any suggestions?

I'm not one for floor testing anything, so if it were me I'd get some lumber and build something to test on. Or just install them and not tell anyone, but I know some landlords are nosy and will find out depending on the situation.
