The thing is max has always been a huge collector, so it isn't really surprising to me. Idubbbz always made unboxing vidoes, plus skits and other random stuff. The only one who was a surprise change was joji, he went to music, but the thing is, joji and Frank are not the same person, they are different personas. I wish Frank didn't leave, but joji wanted to, so I can't fault him. Plus CZcams fucked all 3 of them in the ass, one time idubbbz channel was deleted. Like come on, I don't fault any of them for the decisions they made with their careers.

Beanie babies are by and large worthless, actually. They made them specifically for the collector's market in huge numbers and everyone who collected them preserved them perfectly. This already floods the market with tons of them in great condition. More critical to their value, however, is that most of them have no association to anything nostalgic, valuable, or collectible. They're very generic stuffed animals. POP Vinyls on the other hand are collectible for people who collect a certain type of thing. For example, I don't really collect POPs, but I do collect Tali'zorah figures, and there is a Tali'zorah POP, so I have that one. I also have all the Guardians of the Galaxy ones because I collect GotG stuff. Get it? Demand for things like that isn't going to go down because people will always collect merchandise that has something to do with their favorite characters or franchises.
It's pretty basic economics.
Riddlewrong that's pretty fair. I'd still argue that something only really retains value as a collectable if it has cultural staying power and significance though and frankly I don't see Pops being culturally relevant for more than a couple more years. the limited numbers and being based off of other franchises probably will help it keep value better though.
