That yellow box says "mori no youkan" which is Forest Youkan or in the English release, Old Gateau. It's a jellified (with agar not gelatin) blend of sugar water and usually adzuki bean paste. I couldn't find online if the Pokemon Center made different flavors, but I can't think of what the flavor could be. They try to stick with traditional flavors with that kind of dessert. Japanese sweet potato, adzuki, green tea, that sort of thing. It might have been sweet potato because if it tasted like beans, you would know. The one you opened looked a little stale and solid, but it probably contained a lot more preservatives or agar to have it hold up longer. You could say you've eaten an old old gateau.
