Sounds like these guys know some things ! I recently purchased an E brake cable and a line kit from inline tube and they look real nice. Should be installing them next week
Thanks a lot, I've been wondering for 36 years what I had on my 70 Nova- the 3 piece set up.
Glad we could answer the question for you.
I just installed a proportion valve. Where does the black wire hook up to?
Have a 1980 diesel square body c10 (1.25” front rotor, factory hydro boost, rear drum). Have smaller style rear el dorado calipers for e-brake function disc conversion. The links in description don’t seem to work do you guys carry the proper proportion valve for this conversion? Do lines to rear need to be upsized as well? Thanks
So I have a 1970 chevelle stock rear drums but front converted disc. Which one should I use? The upgrade proportioning valve, or how the stock one looks on the frame- distributive block?
It is up to you on which set up you use. The lines will need to be changed if you use the Valve at master Prop valve. But if you want to keep the block on the frame you will need the PR115 valve and new master lines to hook it up correctly.
Do you have a video like this for trucks? We have a 68 c1500 that needs a little more psi at the rear
sorry we do not have a video for trucks.
I have a 1969 Chevy C20 truck with drum brakes all around. The new front disk proportioning valve has 70% of the pressure going to the front brakes. Can I use this valve until I am ready to do the final conversion to front disk with rear drums?
I would not advise using this valve with drum brakes
ok so if i understand this correctly on 1970 a body with power disc brake they use 2 hold off valves 1 of the front by the master cyclinder, and the 2nd one mounted in the rear on the frame, but they still use the same non power drum brake distribution valve, the only line that is changed when converting is the front to rear line it is 2 peice.....correct?
There were only 2 A Bodies that had the rear valve and that is Pontiac And Chevrolet. The Olds and buick only had the 2 valves. however the discturbution block stayed the same for disc and drum. There are a few lines that change There is the front to rear and the master lines.
@@charlesmcmartin8659 got it thanks
What combination block for the full size ‘69 Chevy?
This will depend on your set up. Are you going to keep it Drum brakes or converting to disc?
@@charlesmcmartin8659 Factory disc Caprice
I have a 72 Camaro which to choose?
For a 1972 Camaro You will need the pr102 Valve
At what pressure PR102 activates?
The Pr102 switch is for a failed line. It shuts off one side of the valve during a line failure.
So which one can I use for a g body
Manny, The PR100 and the PR101 are the G body Valves
PR100 for stock or PR101 for Rear disc. Sorry I did not see your comment
which proportioning valves should i use for 2007 Chevy HHR LT L4 2.2L 2198CC?
