I’m glad I used dbrand and bought the black plates (original) and a skin for the glossy part. Did not want that gloss to get scratched up. Especially in the areas of the ports.

I understand he has a popular channel, but still, $1700 is still $1700.
Destroyed ports is likely from someone grabbing the console and yanking it forcefully from where it was sitting, or it was hit/smacked/thrown to the ground and as it fell the cables were ripped out at extreme angles with a lot of quick force
It's actually amazing that this even happens considering that my dad would always rip out the PS4 whenever he got mad at at me and to this day it still runs fine
To me they all look stolen ps5 like they dont remove the cable gently when they steal them
@@MasterGoku21ps5 ports are far more prone to issues than ps4. Gotta be EXTRA careful with them.

Ps5 plastic feels so cheap and creaks so much I try and avoid unplugging it just because it feels like the friggin port is gonna come out my ps4 got threw off my desk at the wall and it’s still running mint and that’s the day 1 edition

My guess would be these are insurance returns. swapped for brand new consoles and rather then get them repaired and resold the insurance company sold them at a auction. the person who brought them probably looked at them in hand and just flipped them on ebay.

Well, as a full-time repair shop. I can tell you that while keeping a ps5 in one place seems like common sense, it is not. Plenty of ppl bring them to their friends, or kids with divorced parents bringing them back and forth from mom and dads. Then you have people who do not value their investment - meaning I have had people had themsetup in not safe places, tripped over cords while the ps5 is on the coffee table and so on. In addition, I find the majority of PS5 repairs I do are from customers who stand them up vertically. Vertically seems to put strain on the hdmi port and in addition, they are more prone to overheating. Dust goes in the top and burries aaround the power supply where the hot air exhaust is.
So what seems simple and obvious - people do not take care of their systems. Especially when most are purchased by parents for their kids and the parents are not gamers.
This is my experience. The same was true withthe PS4 also.

Only thing I can think of is a kid owned it or it got stolen by thief’s and damaged it while doing it then selling it for cheap

Could game store that has player playing inside store I worked at at game cafe/internet cafe and all usb look like yours we replaced ps5 and Xbox x when there need any repair
14:40 those scapes are just from taking the plates off. I bought my ps5 brand new, took the plates off and the black plastic was scaped in the exact same way
Can confirm this as well. Got my PS5 from PS Direct on launch day and it was like this too under the shell so it goes all the way back. Guess there was a lot of pressure to produce these units in the factory so they weren't as careful with the plate assembly maybe.

Don't use the liquid metal in any of those consoles. They don't have the isolation protection the ps5 does so is very likely that the liquid metal will spill and damage the console as it is very conductive.

No it will destroy your ps3 gpu and cpu after 1 to 2 years and also ps3 doesn’t have any protection for leaking so if it leaks it will short and fry your ps3 and also switch cooling is good enough and your better off getting the best thermal paste.

If you are confident about working on electronic and your luck in general. All of these PS5s got smacked/scratched into the ground, two got its port wrangle'd, and at least one received water damage, not to mention the potential console ban... I wouldn't try my luck considering new PS5 are still being made.

That is what I was thinking. The PS/5 has not really been around all that long (not quite 3 years as of this posting) and amazes me just how beat-up and dusty some of those things are. I guess there are some people just don't care care of their gear. Sucks that accidents do happen, but really?

I wonder how many of these damages were caused because of a jealous girlfriend, rage quitter’s throwing the system or just somebody moving, and dropping their system down a flight of stairs (which I’ve done to my Daughter’s Xbox one S) Personally, my PS5 sits on top of a 6 foot bookcase so your video gave me a bit of anxiety. But one thing I learned from your video is if there’s a earthquake and it falls there’s a strong possibility it would still work after the fall.
