DPS Tier lists are always speculative, especially within Season of Discovery when the future is always unknown! Bare in mind this could be 100% right or 100% wrong. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you think certain classes will perform though!
I really like how you actually use the C and D in your tier list, so many tier lists in the past just put everything in S and A and leave C-D for meme specs but someone has to be bottom, just sucks that its probably shadow priest and ret struggling again

A thing you missed is 2 hand fury and glad stance warrior, which will probably be A. I think Ret and arms is in the B, it's really hard to say with ret because with the 6 set and also there wasn't a good fast 2 hand on ptr. Feral is A, and frost is C
Purifying power/art of war combo, bonus 10% AP scaling bc of vindicator talent, plus with DS/CS proc'ing Wild Strikes, the buffed typhoon will be able to pump numbers for exo spam, slow 2 handers will pull out on top for dps if you can seal twist properly, once we have tier, we add in judgements instead of exorcism on cd for more damage since you can judge multiple seals at a time. Paladin will be just fine. we wont beat warriors or rogues fully geared but we can definitely put out some better numbers than this video suggests. also keep in mind on the ptr we are using lvl 50 equivalent weapons, so we're missing like 20-25% dps just from weapons alone.
Agreed. Slow 2h is looking to be very good, and has a higher dps ceiling than the fast exorcism playstyle due to how righteous vengeance works. Putting them in D tier probably shows that while the the guy making this video allegedly mains a ret paladin, he is not really keeping up with the sims and theorycrafting that is going on around his class.
On the ptr I was able to comfortably pull 2k+ sustained dps on the boss dummy when twisting using “only” world buffs, elixirs and an afk feral druid giving me wild strikes.
What happened to affliction warlocks are they so bad, they wont even get mentioned?

For Spriest, they need to put a cap on the hps/mps that VT/VE can generate so they can buff the spell power coefficients on our spells so we can actually scale. Knowing this dev team and how they handled balancing in phase 3, they're beyond incompetent to come up with any solutions other than going radio silent for 8 weeks after the next phase launches again. I'm just gonna go play TWoW where it actually feels like a classic +
Spriest has always had that issue in classic of having dreadful Sp coefficients, that literally could fix them, by making an exception for some Spriest abilities to have increased SP coeffs
@@DeeceTV For contrast, mage fireball has a 100% coefficient, lock shadowbolt has 85%, spriest mindflay is 45% and mindblast is 42%. For the past 16 years, Spriest has been a pure dps (not a 'utility' hybrid taxed) spec that has competed as a top 5 dps multiple times in expacs in the past 16 years but this dev team acts so surprised when us same players don't wanna be the last place dps every SoD phase. Makes me not wanna play the phase tbh especially when the fix is so beyond simple.
yeah, when i saw changes for paladins about exorcism resets after crit etc i knew that my only one character will be useless ;(
I mean the best we can hope for is that we really are bad on the meters, it'll cause instant buffs because we've overgone a massive rework for P4 for paladin, so if ret is still ass, or well should I say, even more ass then surely it will prompt a serious buff
@@DeeceTV This is actually troll are we even playing the same game? Ret paladin is in a fine spot right now with p4 BIS sims showing 3700ish DPS putting it to mid to high middle of the pack with ease. Even on testwerk with level 50 gear it was middle of the pack DPS. All of the recent changes make scaling better as well with 15% AP and vengeance scaling.
Im coping hard for ele, according to some of the people in the discord somone was able to hit 2k dps and claimed Rolling Thunder was bugging and not being added to their logs. Well still be the trash kings atleast to speed up runs.
Yeah a little unsure on ele, it's definitely one that could be a lot better than I've put it

@@utkuyazc5848 Elemental and Enh shaman should be in PvE S tier. Shamanistic Rage + potions mean that they have absolutely 0 mana issues, the new Storm, Earth And Fire rune reduces chain lightning cooldown by 50%, with Earthfury set lightning bolts have 35% chance to reset lava burst. In PvP, elementals now can have hybrid spec which means that they can obliterate everyone.

no way fury is S tier anymore, fury is bad now thb. I like to go gladiator stance in dps spec and shockwave shit, get more dps than fury most of time

It just feels so bad to be a ret. We have been on the bottom of dps for 20 years now. And sod doesn't change it really. I still will be playing ret because i love paladin, but to be up in the damage meters as dd would be so nice to see.
Yeah same here, paladin main through thick and thin, but it would be nice to atleast have a time in the spotlight like other "meme" specs have gotten during sod. I also think the excuse for utility = less dmg is ridiculous since literally every class brings util in sod and tbf a ret doesnt bring anything a prot/holy couldn't. Sucks doesn't it haha
@@DeeceTV absolutely your opinnion. No reason to bring a ret as long as you got holy or prot. Feels bad to see hunters getting kings and melee ap buff or ferals ws. Horn of lordaeron stacking with might and beeing on a different rune slot could change a lot.

Call me a coper, but the sims are showing that ret paladins that play with a slow 2hander and seal twisting will be doing really well. Still behind rogue, but not so much that it would ever be worth skipping a ret paladin in the hopes of getting another rogue in the raid.
