Was not expecting those numbers at the end. Interesting mini project regardless, you could find some funky stuff for sure. Twist of fate is definitely an option if you just wanna run random layouts, maybe even random (bad) scarabs for some further randomness.

Vaal temple maps themselves only have 10 Vaal Vesels, but if you had went Wandering path with all the "Increased effect of map modifiers" it would have been more like 16 boxes per (plus the added bonus of a more chance to open again with Wandering Path). This will almost double the ammount of Vaal Vessels per map.
I believe palsteron also just did this with the twist of fate setup

I ran Vaal Temple almost non-stop the last few leagues. Since 3.16 really.
It is very good, but you need some time to adapt and not loot a bunch of stuff just because they have two implicit. Gems also at 21 with 0 quality are always worthless unless they are auras. Like yes, a 21/0 determination or wrath is valuable, but nobody is using a 21/0 cyclone gem.
Overtime, seeing so many uniques with 2 implicit, you'll have some big drops. Like I remember last league (playing ruthless this time around) I finance a lot of my early build progression by dropping +1 frenzy ele weakness sadima's touch with 10% quant. Got 45 divines for it I think, would have been more a bit later in the league.
When you do it a lot and it is all you run, you just find lots of random interesting things. Don't forget the abyss jewels, this is a perpetual stream of sales. Basically just things you throw in rotating tabs until they sell and quite a few eventually does. Obviously, corrupted blood even on a relatively bad jewel will often sell for something.
One small piece of bonus that occur from having so many boxes in your map that cannot be operative is this. That is something I done enough to confirm that Vaal Temple vessels count as strongboxes... so once you add normal strongboxes to that map. What happen is, your odd to roll operative become that much greater as a result. I had maps that flooded me with scarabs. Like 3 operative strongboxes, some opened more than once. I am just about certain it is because all the vaal vessel count for the "chance to be operative" yet can't, so contribute to improve the odd significantly for boxes you add to the map to give you scarabs. So for this map specifically, you want to click ambush on the map device when possible and add a ambush scarab. Unless you run twist of fate which I absolutely recommend. Just run a dot build that has zero mana cost so you can easily do whatever map mods show up. The added benefit of twist of fate is obviously that it is a lot faster to open all those boxes in a Mesa Map than in Vaal Temple. So you get a lot more runs per hour done.

My man doing vaal temples, it's the most fun thing this league after they got buffed. Gotten some nice stuff off of it.
I love running these when I get them. The *first* one I ran when these were changed dropped me a squire with good implicit and it made me switch to arakaali's fang for the rest of the league. Just the memory of that makes it fun. Don't know if I could ever fully invest into them tho.

It's been 3 leagues that my first way to make money on early league and low investment (i add some scarabs) is to run theses vaal temple, i am every time surprised how much money i make with it. It's better on early league because some double corrupted items are actually played only on early by some people, i sold for10ish divines of double corrupted items worth 100c max on 1st week and also dropped asenaths with curse vulnerability + %inc max life. what makes the most profit is all the maps you drop, and you didnt take the double maps on your strongboxes which boost the loot even more and helps you finish the atlas on early.
I admit it's pretty boring to run, after 200-250 maps i stop because i generally have enough money to make better content and upgrade my gear

If you hate the layout of vaal temple, you can take the node on the Atlas tree called twist of fate, that randomly generates map mods and layout if they are corrupted, also, you can go full increased modifier effect on your atlas tree aswell, including wandering path as the increased implicit modifier actually increases the quantity of vaal vessels in the map by alot!

You’re also getting all the profits in hundreds of small trades. It’s good profit but fuck selling all that. Individual maps are the worst to sell.
You can bulk sell maps to people who just horizon them.

actually shocked at how much profit you made per map lol. is there a reason to run twist of fate on this map in particular, as opposed to random t16s? do you still get the vaal vessels on other maps when you use it?
Yes, you still get the Vaal vessels, but it turns the map into any random map on the atlas.
yes you do so that way you can get other maps with potentially better layouts with the vaal vessels but i can also run a mod that bricks you
@@speedygunyke1 hence why you play a build that can run all mods (of course some being rougher than others). Hardest one to get around for a lot of builds is obviously reflect, but even that can be done with a little bit of investment (which is to be expected if you wanna do this for real).
That being said there are certainly builds that would have a very rough time doing this (ones where you can't easily counter one of the random map mods especially). RF comes to mind as you can roll some nasty stuff (including no regen).
can you run twist of fate and just get all the cheapest rare maps and scarabs and see how much you proft? seems fun but i dont play anymore
Man, crazy. But you have to think, if you had to encounter a "GAME BUG" at 45 out of the 50 maps you had for that profit, and you can run the same map with the same "GAME BUGS" for 40 hours on end, days at a time... I think this is the reason.

I Made alot of Money in the First week spamming Vaal temples with 15 vessels per Map. I paid 5c a map...
Wandering Path with the hat turns the 10 Vaal Vessels into 16

It does change the map, but you still get the Vaal vessels
the vaal boxes dont count as stronboxes, but map quant actually scales how many there are in a map' or it might be pack size i dont remember but anyway yeah these maps are poggers and you didnt even fully minmax them
they have to count as strongboxes because you can open them twice sometimes. I play this too.

@@yeah5874 you can add more of the Vaal Vesels by running Wandering path and taking all the map modifer effect nodes :D
The only thing that scales the # of Vaal Vessels in a map is "increased effect of map modifiers". The max you can get for this is 60% effect with wandering path, meaning you can get 16 per map.

It's not optimised from word "At all", so there's lot of options how to improve 110c profit per map with relatively cheap manipulations with: Tree, sextans (maybe) and other things.
