    Great job. For anyone that doesn't have the 32-pin cable, it's really easy. Top 2 left pins are can high and can low which is pin one and pin two, just use a backprobe and connect to your tools vci can low and can high pi❤ns plus power and ground and you're home free. Been doing it this way and takes no longer then using the 32-pin connector. I actually just made my own connector for the can lines and power+ground, and it works just fine.

      @markmccormickkeys yes, I did see the other video, where you connect by steering column, i never thought of tapping there. You do great work 👏. 👍.

      @jufegar which tool/programmer are you using? Your programmer should guide you and have the steps for you. The connector is can High and can Low plus power and ground. Nothing else is needed.

    Good video. I just bought that 30 pin connector. So far I've only used it on a 22 Venza but it was a breeze. This one seems like more of a pain to get to but still better than paying for TIS.
    Do you know if we can use OEM unlocked keys on these newer Toyotas yet? I thought I recall that you couldn't but I may be mistaken.

    Can you just drop the glove box and remove plastic panel behind it? Or do you to remove the kick panel also?

    I see you are using what looks like an OEM key, is it mandatory to use it or can you use aftermarket?

    • @markmccormickkeys
      @markmccormickkeys  Před 10 měsíci

      Xhorse XM looks like an option but the button configuration is not correct. I'm hoping for some aftermarket keys soon as the OEMs are difficult to find and very expensive.

      @markmccormickkeys Admittedly I haven't but see that the comments in the xhorse app, someone did have success on a 23 Sienna but had to change trunk and panic for proper operation. The xm are definitely configurable but until I have one to test, I can't say 100%.

      There's many opinions out there about this. Many say that it can damage the car so I haven't tried yet. We currently use Smartpro for these. I'll find out eventually.
