    The instructions provided is very helpful and has helped me greatly. Thanks, Viktor! I would like to mention a few changes with my 2021 Toyota Sienna Hybrid LE.
    1) Each seat has four 17mm bolts which need to be removed (2 short bolts in the front and 2 long bolts in the back).
    2) I just need to remove the front seat covers (not back) to access the electrical connectors.
    3) Each seat has 2 connectors (not 3) - one yellow and one white.

      Are your seatbelts for the 2nd row built into the seats or are they built into the body of the van? From the wiring diagrams it kind of looks like the seatbelt retractor assemblies are on either side of the van body instead of inside the seat. If that is the case, there is no need for 4 resistors, just 2 resistors for the yellow side seat airbag connectors under the seats. Make 100% sure that you got the correct 2.2 Ohm resistors (measure their resistance with a multimeter with the resistor out of the vehicle) and that they are inserted fully. It is possible it's just a bad resistor contact inside the connector, I had that happen once when I pulled the seats out. Wiggle the resistor pins in the connector to make sure they make good contact and make sure they are inserted into the actual female pins in the connectors, not in a wrong spot beside the pins.

  • @windsong3

    A friend helped me remove the 2nd row seats in my 2023 Sienna, which took us forever as I had not discovered your excellent video! Once I found it, we followed your directions to disconnect the battery, install the 2.2 ohm resistors and taped in place with electrical tape. We reconnected the battery, reset the doors and turned on the engine. The "SRS malfuntion" screen came on and we cannot get it off. Can you help?

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  Před 4 měsíci

      I would remove the electrical tape and confirm that the resistors are fully inserted into the connector. Wiggle them around a bit while pushing the legs in to make sure they make contact. Also, confirm that you didn’t get wrong resistors by measuring the resistance with an ohmmeter (resistor must be out of the car!). If all that checks out, scan with a good scan tool to find out what the SRS fault codes are in the system.

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive

      Those are resistors to trick the airbag ECU into believing the seat airbags are still connected. I can make a maintenance reminder reset video for that model if I get my hands on one.

    Excellent video thanks! Do you know if this voids the warranty? Ours is new and we still have the covered oil change/fluid check etc at 10,000 miles. Will they turn us away or if this seat isn't installed? 2 separate questions.

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  Před 3 měsíci +3

      It should not void the warranty or have them turn you away. However, some dealerships are very easy going and others are very picky. If you install the resistors correctly and there is no airbag light on, they wouldn’t have a reason for concern to do an oil change. However, if you come in for airbag system or other electrical diagnosis, they might have an issue with it. You can always reinstall the seats before bringing the vehicle in, it’s a 20-30 minute job.

      It’s literally 4 bolts each, takes 10 minutes to remove them 😉
