    Wonderful video. I've just finished the throttle body replacement following your procedure. If I may add, there are two push-in fasteners behind the gasket body - one on top and one on the right. It looked so easy to remove in your video. Not so. I had to use a pair of curved needle point pliers to release the fasteners. All good now. Thank you.

    Any idea what would cause egr hoses to blow off?
    Mt vehicle is also running rich.
    And it sounds like the fuel pump is working hard, but if I take off the gas cap while it's running then the fuel pump sounds fine

    Hey I was watching your video on that throttlebody change out on that Ford van I was wondering what were your symptoms when you were driving the van because I’m having problems with my E2 50 99 model it has a little stall when giving it gas in the beginning and when you give it gas real quickly to get it to go fast it sounds like it’s missing and stalling out ,so would you let me know please if you had symptoms before you changed your throttlebody assembly out I appreciate and know what happened.

    • @dantheman1109
      @dantheman1109  Před 2 lety +1

      I had a check engine light the code was a throttle position sensor stuck and and acceleration pedal problem. Is your throttle electric or there is a wire from the pedal to throttle.

      @@kmarty2117 Yes I ended up having to bring the Econoline to the mechanic shop found out number two coil was misfiring and it needed to be replaced also found out I had a Bad ground wire going to my ECU Computer , The sad thing I do not like Ford at all it was given to me and later on after I finally got it running good it started doing the same thing again misfiring and even worse now here’s the true story The Triton overhead cam V8 was a good idea but like everything else Ford engineers evidently did something wrong when they decided to do the individual sport plug wire coil pack foreight cylinder dumb idea anyway I think I’m going to move on and try to get out of that van lol .

      @@stephenbonaventure9423 thank for the reply. I got half my v10 engine torn apart. I figured out that my water pump took a turd on me and my engine started over heating cause the head gasket to go. I’m pretty sure that was my problem. Water pump was awful looking. I believe old coolant or cavitation caused it to be only half a water pump lol

    Hey, Dan, great vid. You have the same set-up under the hood as my '06 E150 4.6 van. I'm also constantly getting the "wrench" warning light, which consistently comes on since I replaced the battery. I've done the "relearn" procedure, jumping the pos battery terminal with the removed neg terminal to drain the PCM, but the "wrench" keeps appearing. I'm thinking the Throttle Body needs cleaning. Anyway, you did a great job showing wide views under the hood. I hate having to remove a part just to clean it and put it back. If I have to remove it, I'd just as soon replace it with a new part. So, did your replacement of the Electronic Throttle Body and gasket solve the "wrench" warning light?

    • @dantheman1109
      @dantheman1109  Před 3 lety +2

      The new throttle was good for 2 months and the wrench appeared again, then i cleaned it again with out taking it off and so far its still good but don't forget a have 630k on the van and it's burning oil 1q a week. Thanks
