Great video, know what my problem is but I can’t find this deal in Brazil. Think I will need to replace the whole fill tower
Thank you very much Emanuelle! Unfortunately, it is not convenient for many manufacturers to offer this simple spare part and they make you buy the entire piece again.
Hi thank you for the video, is this toilet from Costco? I have a similar toilet n the pets that it leak very slow. Do you have any video about that?
Hi Jim! My toilet was already installed when we arrived, I am not sure if it was bought in Costco. For the leak problem you are having, did you already try the fill valve troubleshooting? If you tried it and it is still not working (and you are not seeing any water dripping on the back of your toilet), I would recommend that you replace the entire fill valve.
Hi I hope this helps me with my fluidmaster as well same problem I am having tank not filling up and you hear water running hope this helps me Question what is the blue thing on the black hose ?thank you kindly
That blue plastic part is a clamp that is attached to the refill tube which helps control how much water refills the bowl. You can adjust it to have the optimal water bowl level.
What toilet is this? Glacier Bay toilets have a lot of issues with leaks . Home Depot might have this part. They do carry the ring seal for the dual flush canister valve.
Hi, yes it is Glacier Bay. Until now I have not experienced any leaks but it is good to know that this can be a potential problem.
Where do you buy those seals?
Hi Leo! I bought mine in Amazon. I leave you the link here if you are interested: amzn.to/43LL7W4
Sooo. What do I do if a new one locks after I flush? It won’t fill unless it’s jiggled to unlock it.
Hi rfloster, if your toilet is not filling up, there is probably a mineral build up in your system or it needs to be cleaned. Try the troubleshooting for Scenario I in the video.
What if you take off the cap and there’s no water coming out after you turn the water on?
Have you checked if you have water supply with adequate pressure for flushing the valve? If this is OK, it is probable that the fill valve is clogged and probably you would have to consider replacing the entire fill valve assembly.
Why don’t the water stay in the tank after doing off if this with a brand new valve?
Hi Steph! If the water is running out of the tank it is most likely because you have an issue with your flapper. The flapper is the rubber part that you will see at the bottom of the tank. If it is worn out, not sealing properly or not closing after you flush, water will run out of your tank.
@@handyneasy you are correct! I installed a new flapper, adjusted it to the proper length and boom! Problem fixed! Thank you! Great video!

Brand new Valve but no water from refill tube.

@@handyneasy Yes the water pressure is adequate, it had been working normal than it appeared to be plugged so I replaced the fill Valve with a new Fluidmaster 400H-002 Performax now its working but the refill is not tube is not spraying water. I am at a loss because it is a new Valve how could the refill tube not be spraying...
@@TravisInCanada1 hi Travis, if you bought a new Fluidmaster Valve, the refill tube should come attached to the valve and would be also a new part. If you are not seeing any water coming out from refill tube and there is nothing blocking the refill tube that prevents adequate water flow, I can only imagine two things: 1. the fill valve you bought is defective 2. There is not enough water pressure for the system to work properly.
