With the help of Rion, Mel escapes Lady K’tahsh but the Ethos have captured Si’I, a monstrously powerful guardian! Back at the Dojo Seth becomes suspicious of Kara and traps her, only to discover she is the shape shifter Kali! After escaping, Kali takes over the dojo and nearly destroys it and the defenders! Si'i shows up and destroys Kali. Before Kali passes, the Defenders learn that Kara is being held prisoner in an underwater world.
