Erik goes searching for a temple to resurrect Kara only to discover that he must complete three dangerous tasks to get what he wants. The other Defenders decide that Malco is to blame for the loss of Kara and go in search of him. They discover that Malco plans to grow an army of Sigil Slayers and is using Ethosian powers to create a palace for himself. Rion goes through a transformation and Brackus explains that an Ethos spell did this to him. The group must stop Malco and save Rion before it is too late!
