I think the background image with low opacity gives the perspective a true sense of feel and scale that the line drawing alone can’t convey especially in the context of city planning review

That's exactly why we kept it the background even though I have a natural bias towards just line drawings

That's great, but I'm wondering why we should sketch on a render. Is it primarily for presentation purposes, or does it serve another purpose? I'd appreciate it if you could explain this to me, as I'm an architect and would like to understand how and why to use this method.
