I have 6 on my left ear and on my right ear 5 piercings. I have my lobes pierced 3 times, 2 cartilage piercings on my left ear, a conch piercing on the left ear, and an industrial piercing on my right ear. I’m pretty tough in the pain of those piercings that I don’t do any numbing cream on getting a piercing. It is a whole lots less painful than a broken ankle. My most painful piercing is the industrial one.
I can handle the pain from a piercing. I have 6 piercings on both of my ears. I have both my lobes pierced 3 times, both ears with a conch piercings, 2 cartilage piercings on my left ear, and an industrial piercing on my right ear. 7 of them were done by a gun back in the 90’s. 5 done by a needle.
It depends on where in the ear. The lobes are not painful but if you get your cartilage pierced it is going to feel like hard pressure and you may hear some popping as the need passes through the cartilage. This news report was loaded with false and bad info. 1. Nurses are not professional piercers PERIOD. They have no training it is a completely different industry. 2. Gold jewelry does not heal faster. Healing depends on your body, how you care for it, and don't touch it. 3. Piercing at home equals zero sterile practice. Professional studios have surgically sterile equipment, limits to one person in the room with the client and piercer, and are inspected by state and local guidelines. I have been getting pierced for over 20 years this news report was everything not to do when getting a piercing.
Depends on the exact spot on how much you feel it. For the most part it's like a pinch. I'd way rather get pierced than stub my toe, for example, or even get a paper cut.
This news report was everything not to do when getting a piercing. Go to a professional piercer, in a sterile studio, with sterile instruments, and someone who knows what they are doing. Studios usually allow one person in with the client an piercer not a party. The piercer is about to cause an open wound to the body and a party is the worst place to do that. Healing depends on the person, and the after care they provide, gold does not heal faster...good sterile care does. Professional piercering studios usually are regulated by state and local guidelines, check your area. Also Nurses should check that they are legally allowed to pierce someone...you may be legally allowed to administer shots and medication, but you may not be certified to pierce and put jewellery in people, protect your license. This may have been a cute piece but all terrible advice.

The most positive part of this news clip is multiple piercings going mainstream!

In most states you don't need a license to be a piercer. I would trust a physician's assistant without a problem.
