- A simple live jam/performance and one of a few videos I recorded with the Monologue analog mono synthm, more of which are here: • Korg Monologue .
Comprising a 16-step sequencer pattern on the Monologue and a minimal drone on the Volca Keys.
Additional gear used: Laptop with Reaper DAW, an old Lexicon Pantheon reverb plugin, Focusrite 18i6 audio interface, LUMIX GX7 camera.

This sounds like the 80s movie of my dreams…
It's always exciting for me to find a demonstration of these nice instruments. A really nice way of presenting its character
Thank you.
Absolutely superb, perfect demonstration of what can be achieved with these two amazing inexpensive instruments.
Thank you very much.
This is dope
Thank you
Really nice sequence on the Monologue... like how easy it is change the sound with just a few simple knob twists & switch flips. The Volca Keys is a nice drone machine... goes deep. Was thinking of selling my Volca Keys, but will keep it for the dronzzzzzzzzz.
Thank you. The Monologue has the advantage of having a preset memory, but also nice-feeling controls for tweaking the sounds manually. Some 'preset' synths have horrible controls.
Sehr kreativ mit nur 2 Synths live einen so schönen Ambient Track zu produzieren
Vielen dank.
Man such a nice sound from the Volca!
issa vibe
yo, I have been on the fence for like 3 days with a monologue in my shopping cart... this video is the reason I am pulling the trigger. this was fire.
Thanks for telling me, that's great to know. I hope you enjoy the Monologue.
@@DreamsOfWires I am loving it, I played with it for about 8 hours last night and made like 5 patches that blow anything I have ever made in software out of the water. I still do not have an audio interface, so I cannot record and add these amazing sounds into my DAW yet, but just playing with AA batteries and some headphones had me captivated. This is my first hardware synth, and I have never had more fun with an instrument in my life.
That's awesome. Once you get a simple interface you'll be even more absorbed by it. Good luck on your musical journey.
strongocho it's a really powerful mono synth, learn it in and out, interface focusrite or personus good and affordable.
A clear sound...i like it very much
Thank you.
Very cool. Love the sounds you are getting out of the keys. Enjoyed this! :-)
Thank you. I'm still finding uses for the little box after all this time.
Brilliant sequence!

Très belle session aérienne
Merci beaucoup.

Thank you
Nice and playful sequence. I just love the Volca sound you used. The end is different. May be a transition to another track...?
👍
Thank you. As for the ending: I get carried away analog drones. I could probably make an album full of them.
You need to do a tutorial on this! Great vid
Thank you.
Hi there I have a monolougue and vola sample.....I like you work....greetings from the HIVE
Thank you very much, greetings.
I love it, great sound and performance! Do you have a minilogue performance only?

Awesome! I want to make some vids of my volca performances but I can't get good sound. What are you doing for recording?
yo I know im not him , but I do have a volca keys , what I do is connect the heaphone out to my audio interface , in cubase then I add son reverb called wider which makes the sound really big and expansive (its also free) then I add some eq to get rid of some on te metallic sounds and also to add a little more bass , finally I use some valhalla reverb o shimmer
Really nice performance ! How did you connect them ?
Thank you, it's just Monologue Sync out to Volca Sync in.
I'm a beginner, I've just bought a monologue and a little PO-12 rythm, later I think I will add a volca keys for a minimal rig. Anybody have a suggestion for a little mixer for connecting the monologue, the volca and the beat box ? Thanks !
The BASTL DUDE mixer is straightforward and compact. I've had good luck with the small RUCCI mixers as well. Also if you run the PO-12 into a mono input, consider the Castline 1/8" stereo to 1/4" mono summing cable. I use them on all my Pocket Operators and they sound excellent.
Are the Monologue and Volca Keys quite similar? (aside from the actual keys of course)
nope totally different
F -André Other one is a mono synth, other one a poly synth.
Is that reverb/delay from the mono? great stuff
Thank you. No, external reverb.
@@DreamsOfWires Ok! Like a VST or stompbox?
✌👍👍👏👏💕
Thank you.
Are you using any pedals?
Hi there ... Great sounds and brilliant ideas ..im guitarist and now im in synth for the First Time....i got a monologue and volca Beats..do you think Will be a Good idea to get Also the keys and mix together? I mostly play space Psych loop...thanks Gabriele
YES - there is no such thing as too few volcas 😜. Also it's one of the instrument sets where the sum of them is greater than their total number - they were designed to interact well together.
How did you achieve the lighting for this video? It really enhances the atmosphere of this compelling music.
