I just swap out to the red spring on my 250 XC from the stock spring. I ran the stock spring for the first year and a half. I will definitely say there is a huge difference with the red spring the power comes in like an 250sx. My first bike was three years ago and was an 06 YZ250 so I'm used to the power hitting hard. I'm glad I got the YZ is my first bike. I will most definitely say I really like the red spring and I will be leaving it in. I will say I love this spring.

Hey so a big part of the power valve is not so much the size of the port opening but the timing of the opening relative to the piston. When it closes off it opens later which means the reflected waves in the expansion chamber happen at the right time. This needs to change because the engine is moving slower. Other than that its a great and informative video!

If I adjusted my PV I would make it have as much power as possible everywhere, optimized for max torque at any given RPM no matter what the pipe would then give as the final result, no need to give less power than the bike can deliver :)

Cool video. Curious as to how the green spring would do on technical stuff.

My bike came with a KTM binder, inside that binder was a yellow spring.... After watching this I removed my power valve tensioner just to verify that I have a 2nd yellow spring. I was worried that is why my bike is so "twitchy" but no it is just twitchy because it has so much power.

I throughly enjoy your content. I do like the different projects but the Chinese buggy is my favorite. I've always wanted to see someone make one of those handle and run good. Keep it up.

If you ride on water, don't use the Devil spring, use the Jesus spring, he loves you, he loves you and he needs money.
