This is one of the best acoustic versions of a song I've ever heard.
I know this is an eight year old video at this point, but I've only just discovered it and I cannot stop watching it. The chemistry between these two, the authenticity and honesty of not just their voices and harmony, but the rawness of the footage, the sheer passion of the music and the moment together...all of it is just so inspiring and elating to me.
I'm writing a book at the moment about a rockstar and a folk singer who fall in love, and they are just like these two (right down to their looks, by sheer coincidence). If you ever see a book called Siren & Songbird on shelves in the next decade, know it was inspired by this song.

Garret is from my town in Michigan, I met him in 6th grade when he came back to the school he used to go to(my school) and he did a few songs. I'm honestly glad to see that he is becoming known and that I met him. never forget where you're from Garret!! Zella naturally has a really really soft and lulling voice, it definitely doesn't have as much power that borns has but it fits more of her aesthetic and style of music. She's still amazing, plus it's borns' song so I doubt she'd want to overpower him.
