In this episode, I go local squid fishing from a boat in South Australia. Unlike kayak or land-based squidding, boat squid fishing is a lot more strategic as you have to plan drifts etc. We manage to do very well catching many squid in the beautiful south Australian waters.

@@JordanSAFishinghoping to get out again next week, so I'll keep you posted!! We only got 17 at Wirrina last time. They were tough!! And mostly small!! We put 4 back cause they were crazy small!! We also got 6 cuttlefish the size of my hand!!! Never seen them so small.. at one stage we got 3 in 3 casts!
@@nathanwilliams2167oh wow, you don’t really hear about squid being that consistently small. Especially 6 cuttle fish 😂 you must have hit a spawning spot which is why there we all small! Keep me posted mate for sure 🙌🏽
@@JordanSAFishing yeah I'm wondering if all the dirty water coming out of the mouth might have pushed them all around to Wirrina or held them there... Will be back to our usual haunts around Seacliff and Brighton next week! It is good to see them obviously breeding very well though!
