This happened to my Dad! He married someone who looked good on paper, as they say. Sadly, he found out too late how narcissistic she was. She alienated him from me and other family and friends, and his attitude toward money and success became different - his whole personality changed, really. She was God's gift (he thought). I say sadly because he passed away before he could leave her. I and others knew he was considering it and knew he had been unhappy for a long time. I think soon before his passing, he was starting to see her for what she was and their marriage would've ended, but now we'll never know. I haven't spoken to her since right after, and that was almost 20 years ago.
Omg this same thing happened with me and my dad to the very tee. She gave him Covid and he passed away from that. I’m speechless.

Yep, hole in one, I was treated by him like I wasn’t even a person, I was made to feel like my brand of love wasn’t good enough and he kept making me feel so less when I’m not, he made me feel so objectified and yucky and I kept wishing to not be around him, I deal with allot of anxiety and he just made it worse he humiliated me for things I didn’t do accused me of cheating when I was single and trying to mend things with my dad on my birthday who does that??? If he actually stood still and acted like a man is supposed to by getting to know me, then he would have understood the journey in life I’ve had and the incredibly difficult battles I’ve had to overcome but no he chose to see me as a villain because I didn’t put out? Yep, as Jess has said previously there is a certain level of respect that we give all human beings no matter who they are and this just went out the window for them, it’s crazy to even think it’s ok to have treated us in this way when all we wanted was to truly find, grow and build with our person, but it was turned into a sh*t show for no valid reason other than insecurity and the inability to be human and mature, never mind our true person will come along and sweep us all off our feet because we are worth it.
