Well I know I'm in tomorrow when the KS begins. I've got all of Obsession so far, it's all so thematic and fun that it seems silly to miss out on this latest design exuberance. This game does attract those who wouldn't normally play games. My wife was showing one of her friends my gaming shelves. Our guest was feigning interest, badly, while failing to conceal her real feelings for all the games. My wife grabbed Obsession. "This is a game about running a victorian household and trying to increase your reputation and wealth". Our guest perked straight up, "I'd play that one" she said.
@@kayentagamesdanhallagan856 I did! I burst out laughing when you mentioned having Catzilla in Derbyshire. A cat should be a part of the expansion to add even more drama to the game 😂
I guess in one of those rare six-player games, Asquith would be forced to draft the Dowager, otherwise the draft exclusivity would prevent another non-Howard player from drafting any special family.
This game is amazing, your dedication is visible in every part of it :) One question, wasn't the filnal move of Asquith family to aquire SECOND English Garden against the rules? :P
At 1:59 you give yellow 2 reputation but forget to flip their 5 to a 6. At 2:06 green have 3 monuments so they should get 2 reputation an not just 1. And same happens again at 2:19. At 2:22 yellow last big play the upper left guest is missing a green servant. Thank you for doing this. So exited to get all the new stuff.
What are the markers you are using on the building market and some tiles in your tableau? Also on the objectives facing up? Are these new or just "reminder" tokens? Never seen them before.
Thematically, I feel like the Reverend shouldn't return to his church until after you decided which new objectives you are swapping in. Isn't the whole reason he stays at your estate is to give advice on what changed to make in your life? Then also, you could give the donation to him in person before he returns to his church?
That is indeed more thematic. The rules are silent on that exact timing; I will adjust any future playthroughs to emphasize that order. Agreed and thanks!
