After DECADES of tropical storms pummeling the Gulf Coast, the power grid is still not remotely hardened against damage and destruction.

Very true. It was just one single category one hurricane that brought Houston to its knees and we have many more possibly on the way this season. It’s insane that there is zero accountability everywhere but that’s Htown for you

Every storm or temperature event we lose everything! Power, mobile services, and water pressure all gone leaving us in a mess. Employers expect us to return to work when we are devastated with so much loss and uncertainty. Wires wrapped around dangerous dangling branches that may get power before they are removed and repaired. Executive functioning is not happening in Texas and it shows.
