Definitely a different vibe artistically with Parrhesia than with previous albums, but, wow, you needed to experience the tone in person. Actually jaw dropping; very hard to put into words. Would cut off a toe to have recordings straight from PA e.g. the 2018 reference recording of Meshuggah at Graspop. Think I've watched just about every posted clip of this tour and am yet to find one that was able to perfectly capture all the nuances, etc. as I remember them. Most noticeable/ notable change were towards the low-end, which was significantly more articulate (maybe as simple as tighter noise gates, more compression?). Javier, in particular, reminded me of that Dingwall NG-2 crunchy sound... some of the other recordings (particularly of Brain Dance, since there's less collision going on so phone mic --> phone compression --> CZcams compression doesn't drown it out) capture that a bit more clearly. Nonetheless, absolutely one of the best concerts I've been to. Even as a guitarist-only, blown away by Matt's progression over the years. Kudos to all three.
over the past ten years these guys almost ruined all other music for me, I think Guthrie Govan was about the only guitar player that could draw my attention away ,at least for a while anyway, I hope I get to catch them both live someday ..thanks for time stamp on this..
You gotta respect a band that plays a set this damn long with so many difficult songs and is still tighter than most bands that play much easier stuff.
Just saw them 2 days ago for the first time. I must say, that was and will be the greatest concert I will ever see. I recommend selling whatever organs you must in order to see them once.
RockOn
Can (mostly) hear stage left. I guess that's where the phone is. Would love to hear a properly recorded AAL live performance for once. Do bands still make live DVDs?
how do they write these songs? like zappa - where it's finished in his head and written down before a note is played? or like the rest of us schlebs: hey, i gotta riff - lets do some improve...
Phenomenal musicians. I just wish they had a live bass with them. From a producer's standpoint it is lacking quite noticeably imo - the live album they released in 2018 is lacking some depth and glue in the mix and even though they have a backing track for the bass, it's still missing some presence. Just my humble opinion. Fucking love the band.

Him an El Estepario. El does a cover of Matt too that is fire
We had the 3 peice band Rush since '68, and we all said "how are there only 3 people in this band???". Well, AAL are continuing that legacy just fine
68? are you mental? their first album was in the 70's 1974 to be exact..lol
how does this post have even 1 thumbs up? seriously? so there are 14 other morons who dont know who Rush is?
The magic of progresive genre and 8th strings guitars

I’ve got a meet and greet with them for their show in Brisbane AU in April 🎉
Real frickin' musicians. Thanks for the bootleg
That drumsolo tho 😍
14:47 - 14:57 was a fascinating seat exchange

I would like to hug everyone of animals as leaders
Insane setlist, Simply Superb! I can't wait to see them live one day.
Now I really regret missing them the next night when they played in Austin.....

They literally have a live album
That thing you did there at 35:18 just🥲
Awesome 🤩
I'd lvoe to think the securtiy guard head bobbing had no idea about instrumental prog metal until tonight and is now forever a fan
39:37 Matt adding the disco beat to this song kicks ass
BRUTAL
Damn not a single weightless song what a shame, its their best album imo
Not even close
how do they write these songs?
like zappa - where it's finished in his head and written down before a note is played?
or like the rest of us schlebs: hey, i gotta riff - lets do some improve...
damn nice stufferony
No Inner Assassins?
The set list changed when they released the album.
57:43 -- matt after following so many notes 😄
Killin
The new songs are *nasty* in the best way!
Wow
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine if one of these dudes quit the band, and they had to find someone who could play their songs, and produce with them 😬
Phenomenal musicians. I just wish they had a live bass with them. Thank god Javier moves his head so I can know what's happening hahaha
No Inner Assasin 😭 Matt Grotzka stealing the show completely here. Octopus Boy
Sic😳
like buckethead.....
why aren't their C.D.s in record shops by
the lorry load....
How the hell can it be a sit-down concert?
Starting with tooth and claw... man who does that
Guitars a little low in this mix, no?
LOL at everyone singing the end of Physical Education's melody
Garstka is honestly just not human at this point.
I need to micro dose and witness this phenomenal group of dudes. 🍄
Where the fuck is red miso ? Best of the new album but they don't play it on tour
actually one of my least favorite songs from the album lol
I was expecting Gestaltzerfall to be on the set
As far as Progressive Rock goes Red Miso is 👌🏻
@@brunoflorentino1278 my favourite one heh
