Somaliland: Lost world | Deadliest journeys

- 00:00 It is a country that officially does not exist. You won't find it on any map. Yet Somaliland has its army, its entry visa and its government. This "no man's land" as big as England is wedged between Djibouti and Somalia and is one of the trade routes for neighboring Ethiopia. Every day, dozens of outdated trucks cross
4:06 Inflation Is a major problem in Somaliland
16:22 Darkness Beats These 2 Drivers
20:39 Only Escape for the drivers are drugs
24:25 Mining Is the only solution for these villagers
Selling Camel Milk and leave are the only source of income
I love ❤ my country Republic of somaliland my Allah protect ❤ I hope my people success and bright future
Misinterpretation in here is absolutely insane. The man says his windscreen was broken by kids throwing stones to it and the narrator interprets as gunmen shot his windscreen! Am like are you feeling okay narrator? What a load of bull.
😄😄😄
thats the beauty of liberal world reporters. they will never say that the mess was left by their white ancestors.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍
Narrators simply read a script, if there is a translation error it has nothing to do with the narrator. Also this doc was made in France so was most likely first translated to French and then from French to English, at which point it’s a game of telephone. We don’t know where the translation deviated from what was actually said but consider that the original translation was probably done by a Somaliland local who spoke French as that is much more common than a French person who speaks any African language.
@@Datadog-1 this is exactly this world is getting in to more and more mess.

Great documentary. Shows that if you need a reliable machine; for cars stick with Toyotas and for heavy commercial vehicles select Mercedes-Benz trucks or Buses!
this documentary is 11 years old, the place has improved alot since
Why they repuplish again if Its 11 years ago
They now hav a supermarket
Awesome
You're wrong somaliland has being independent since 1960

This just goes to show, that no matter where you come from, truckers are amazing! Thank God for our truckers!
Until their bratty kids start spitting on you.
Unless you're a Ottawa bureaucrat. They basically called truckers domestic terrorists.
special thanks to the crew that made this masterpiece documentary
well if this docu is years old and people have better lifes now there i'm really happy for them
IT IS NOT A MASTERPIECE BUT A DISGRACEFULL MANNER OF REPORTIN. IF YOU CAN SPEAK SOMALI YOU WILL SOON LEARN THAT THEY ARE GIVING A FALSE TRANSLATION OF THE LOCAL PEOPLES STORY. SO THEY CAN HAVE MORE MORE VIEWS
@@robinjeronimus4836 the situation is better now
just by watching a couple of docu's like this my state of mind and way of thinking already changed. i feel for all the people on the world living in unthinkable conditions like this its heart breaking seeing other human's have to go to so much for so little.
Most are showing the worst side, not the best of those places.
They thoose for this life themselves. If they stopped having kids the problem will dissapear within 2 generations.
@@kapinio1 if they stop having kids won’t be any1 left there within 100 years
@@kapinio1 havng kids is not the only problem here. the biggest cause of these problems is a corrupted government and a population contaminated by tribalism. Somalia as a whole has a population of 20 million and the growth rate is high and yet there are no well functioning government institutions providing services such as health, education and water. there is no proper infrastructure here. the people are divided into clans and each corrupted has a large support from his clab
@@MohamedAbdulkadir9 Bringing more people into that world is a problem then. One or two generations need to make the sacrifice to move forward in a better way. But what they are doing is not working. Honor and a selfless push to create a better world is not happening there. Its more of a grab for what they can and care little about how the end result will be.
We are lucky to live in a time when we can document history with video.
Imagine if they made documentaries like this during Roman times.

After Binge watching these terrific vids I'm reminded of a quote by Patrick Childress. "The difference between Adventure and Adversity is Attitude"! I'm quite sure the early Adventurers and Explorers would ALL agree! Great stuff!
You return from an adventure.
Somalis are strong people mashallah, in sha Allah they will be great again
am Tebogo AM watching from South Africa , Gauteng Province.
Always amazing documentaries. You would think Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet motor companies would be embarrassed about Toyotas dominance regarding tough trucks, and try to upgrade there trucks. My Toyota truck is 21 years old and has 298,000 miles. I fully expect it to continue to run another 150,000 miles!
interesting take from the film. i also noticed the benz in those terrains. ford, dodge and chevrolet trucks arent even a thing eastern africa.

Ótimo documentário. Parabéns.
I have to follow your channel. I really like the way you narrative for the people that can't speak English
there are some translation errors. the reason is the origin of the this documentary was French. double translation can cause errors from somali to French to English
Thank you so very much for the valid observation. Not to mention variation in dialect. Well done. 💯

Somalliland is not a country. It's a one clan based local government desperately trying to get recognition by any means including going against our Islamic teachings in order to please the "international community" AKA the West.

The old man said his windscreen was broken by kids 🧒 throwing stones to it, and the interpertator said a pullets was shot his windscreen that's misinterpreted and this misinterpretation is making us look bad! Somaliland is safe land.
