Hi guys, Jack here. Thanks for watching and apologies for the moo starsh, I was doing Movember 👨🏻. We are SO CLOSE to 100k subs to the channel so if you could subscribe and help tip us over that number we would really appreciate it. Thanks for all the support, there’s plenty more content coming down the line.
I thought you were going for the Pablo Escobar look 🤔
I am subscribed already mate, told others to as well
I think the mustache looks great!
111k 👍
This is the content we want.
Thank you David from Marex, letting us in to have a peek!👍
Love that curtain system Marex use, so useful for UK weather
It's the only "canopy" boat I'd want.
I liked that Seth was happy to explain what he was doing.
Seemed like a nice chap.
Should get him on again.
My guess is that they build the boat, up on stands or whatever, move the boat onto another set of blocks that has the wrap ready to cradle the boat, pull the wrap up and around so they can heatshrink it, and then lift it with a crane and straps.
Hope that made sense!
worth remembering shrink wrap shrinks, so start bringing it under the bow, followed by an extra strap outside the loose wrap, that allows the first initial strap to slack off, put wrap through, lift the strap back into place. similar strategy when hitting it with heat. Bow to stern, lowering straps before hitting it with heat, then replacing them to allow the next one to be lowered.
Lovely boat. A solid choice for last years 30-35ft MBY lockdown special. 👍
Excellent video Jack, at least we have the experience to see the first boat unboxing 😊😊😊
I'd imagine heat shrink and vacuum to get it tight. Thanks for this really interesting video! I'd love to open the box one day LOL
Unfortunately, the Sealine 430 is my favourite boat of choice if the cash was available but Marex run them a very close second choice, especially the 375. Excellent piece of film, you lucky sod!!!! So jealous.
Loved this video - as others have said, amazing (and comforting) to know the extensive work that goes in before a customer gets near it.
Great video to see what happens with a new boat on delivery. I do like the Marex, never seen one in the flesh but think they look a cracking piece of kit.
You guys are so lucky. We have to install the complete engine package with the controls, wiring, gauges, fuel filter etc. Then we have to install any extra equipment the customer wants and test drive the boats and check everything before we deliver them.
Love this, great video, would make a new owner feel very secure in knowing all these checks are done
Great video Jack. This is definitely going to be my next boat. Thanks for showing us how they do the unwrapping.
The best unboxing video.
That was a really interesting video, well done!
That’s amazing, had no idea that so much work goes into ‘readying’ a new boat. Thanks for such an informative video 👍
Thanks for watching!
Cheers to all for this vid, when would any of us otherwise get to see the unwrap and test of a new boat, brilliant 👍, lovely boat too, thanks.👍😁❤️
Our pleasure.
This was a very interesting video. Would love to see more like it with other types of boats. Well done.
We're glad you liked it.
@@MotorBoatYachting p
Wild guess they cover the entire boat with the wrap while on slings lower onto blocks slip the slings off then suck all the air out and warm up the wrap so it shrinks
Interesting to see what happens behind the scenes before the owner gets their boat.
PROPER VIDEO - more like this. Thanks so much for sharing...
Glad you liked it!
And there was I looking for a big box!!
What a beautiful mini yacht ⛵⛵⛵⛵👍😃👍🇬🇧
Thanks a lot, it was very interesting. Wonderfull boat :D
Can the new owner ask to be apart of this process? For me, half the fun of getting a new toy is unwrapping it and I'd love to be there when the plastic first comes off.
That was a really interesting video, thank you guys!
a nice toy to unwrap ... 👍🏁❤⛵
Very informative video really enjoyed it had no idea about preparation for a new boat
Great video thanks!
Good one!
Gorgeous boat , lucky owner.
Good vid. Thx
Great video
I was surprised how nice she sounded !
Very nice.
Lekker man lekker
how do you get the shrink wrap around the boat MMM
leave the shrink wrap next to the boat over night and let the factory elves do it !!!!! now you know
Bow thrusters make a single screw easy.
I'd be curious to see how they shrink wrapped it...
wrapping the hull ---- various theories
a. they have a suitcase wrapping rolling machine like at airports
b. a team of lepricorns who visit at night
c. hull is made upside down and inside out ....
actually have no idea ----- good question though ... ///
Thanks I enjoyed the video and was impressed by the testing before and after shipping. Poor powerboaters with single screw handling but with thrusters. I wonder how us single screw long keel no thruster sailing types manage? Maybe we just have too.
😂 well said
They put the wrap over the top of the slings?
Really interesting video. Though not a great sign when the dealer is opining over the variable build quality and inconsistent performance between different examples of the same model...
Agree strongly. Not the best sign
But much the same with cars where everything can be within tolerance but they all stack up so two cars can be different
Just to add, if they would let you it would be nice to see below on the Marex.
Was that knts , mph or kph ? On the GPS ?
Like that the engineer dipped the fluid with a tie wrap ...
The prop is really close to that brick...
Where's the box?
Other than getting the engine up to temp there isn’t a “break in” period that has to be followed?
I would guess as it’s done 5.5 hours at the factory it’s ready for a good thrashing!
Is this James Mays boat?
Not his actual boat but the model he has.
The most surprising thing about this video is they managed to get a delivery from the EU
Why is this boat listing to starboard, look as it first enters the water and when it returns from test, does it need ballast??
The weight of planned normal equipment in all storages are not in yet. Thats about 1200 kilos and all tanks are empty. This will level it out
Is there no antifoul coat applied before she goes in the water ?
I would guess, not that i've bought a new boat, it looks like it already has antifoul on and as it was run for 5 hours at the factory and at sea near the factory it would already have had it on.
Antifoul is applied at the factory.
They hired Harry Potter to do it magically. 😂
Jack You said the best cruising speed was 24 knots and she was using 48 litres an hour and that was half a litre per nautical mile, did you not mean 2 litres per nautical mile, or did I miss something?
I would also like so see a reply on this question
Did he really check the oil with a cable tie!?
Are there any Marex dealers in the US?
Airhook? 😉
surprise to see a 30 ft yacht cruiser powered by single engine
Why? Beneteau Swift Trawlers 30 and 34 are single engine. Cheaper to service.
Big boat for a single.
Is it goatee March Jack?
We've been sitting on this video since Movember, does it show? 😅
So much plastic 😱 Is it recycled?
Thermosets can only be used once 👍
Eh not sure about that facial hair jacko, you kind of seem like a soft spoken villain.
Very interesting video but in this day and age it seems an extravagant use and waste of single use plastic. I hope the industry is looking for an alternative.
seems like kind of a waste of plastic. hope it gets recycled.
