This is a total guess, but the flashers only come on after we see the passenger stick their hands out the window. So mayyyyyybe the passenger realized what was gonna happen (PIT) and hit the hazards button. Now of course, pretty meaningless in that situation but it at least makes more sense than the driver doing it.

How the judical system doesn't take a MUCH more servere stance on ultra high speed runners I'll never understand. This is no different than standing in a crowded city park on a sunny day, putting on a blindfold and firing a handgun wildly in every direction. These ultra high speed runners should do at LEAST a couple of years in prison whether they hurt someone or not.

I believe here in Arkansas you have to have at least three, maybe four, successful PIT maneuvers under your belt before they will let you even touch the fabric a State Trooper’s uniform is made of. I don’t even think you can smell it.
