- Great experience and adventure down theSpey. We were lucky that the river flooded the week before so the rapids were good fun! Also during the first night, the river rose 3 ft, nearly flooding our camp!
Rapids were great fun especially at Knockando (2:21). Because of the high volume, the normally great washing machine rapid was drowned out (3:13).
We started at Grantown on Spey and finished at Spey Bay on the Moray Firth. 40 miles. Took us about 9 hours of canoeing over two nights as the speed of the river was phenomenal.

Respect Geezer respect the beasties aswell water was gnarley
Coverage is stunning. Love the content, shows a real love for your Staffordshires and I think it also brings about awareness of how much this breed loves adventure and being around their human/s.

Great Video and nice editing to the soundtrack!
great video! i go on a yearly canoe trip myself. Nothing better than hitting rapips with a canoe. I'm surprised you didn't swamped in some of those waves! mad skills!
What a cool video.
Not sure if you should have taken that dog for this trip!
Great paddling 👍
Such an adventurous staffy , how do you manage to do that ?!
Cool doge, bro
What's that song playing and who is the artist? By the way awesome dogs! I have a Staffie myself.
Great video, I'm canoeing the Spey in May, been told to bring a dry suit or a paddling cag, what would you recommend and what were you wearing for this trip to keep warm and dry? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks! Definitely recommend using a full dry suit and with normal walking gear underneath. Gives you peace of mind if you happen to capsize. Was close to doing that many times on this trip but luckily never, despite using a lake canoe which was really full! If you fall in you don't feel the cold much with the suit and you're bone dry. Otherwise you're really cold and soaked for the rest of the day.
Look into the J stroke. It's much easier.
Awesome! Love it! And what is the name of the song?
