- Decided to go with Rust-Oleum spray paint and primer for the metal table legs on the silver maple slab table i have been working on. The finish turned out great and was very pleased with the product and my results.

I can’t wait to see it done!!
Was there a reason you used a separate primer first when the paint was a paint + primer?
I really wanted to make sure it was bonding to the clean metal. I didn't trust the two combined to last long term.
How long did you wait between top coats?
It wasn't as long as I thought, I always thought it was hours if not days, but a friend way more in the know said to actually read the can instructions.....and I believe it actually only says an hour before second coating...
Can I do this for a silver metal table, but with a wood color?
Is it Rust-Oleum brand paint? Is it clean silver metal or any kind of coating?
Did you use a top coat?
I did a couple coats and then put a clear over it to harden it up.
Hi
I bought accent chair with golden legs. Can I change it to silver? . Any recommendation about spray , And how could I do it ? Thanks in advance
Is it gold paint or actual metal coating?
@@HermanWoodworks actually, I am not sure but I guess it’s actual metal . But not sure
Probably scuff the coating with a fine sandpaper and clean it off with mineral spirits. Let it dry and use a primer, possible a self etching primer. Let that harden and dry and then paint with the desired color.
@@HermanWoodworks thanks 🙏 I really appreciate it
How long it takes to dry completely?
They say dry to the touch in about an hour and workable in 24 hours but I believe I let it set for 2 days.
@@HermanWoodworks thanks
